Ordered 7th of September, still preparing to Ship.

I originally ordered the Ultra with the Blue/Gray trail loop until I saw the delivery date of 10/10-10/17, so I then cancelled it and ordered the Ultra with the orange Alpine band, right after the keynote and have a delivery date of 9/23. Even though Apple is saying “Preparing for Shipment”, I was able to track my watch all the way from China to Louisville, KY, where it’ll sit until Thursday, before making it’s final trip to me. I’m going to order the trail loop band once Apple get it in stock for store pickup.

If you have an Apple Store nearby, I would advise you to go to pay them a visit within the 14-day return window, and ask for a band swap. Apple makes it a lot easier to swap out bands without doing a full return these days, after all the complaints they got a few years ago (I have done such a swap myself).

You can either show up early enough in the morning and luck out on some fresh arrivals before they sell out for the day (and do a swap on the spot). Or you may return your band and have the store place an order for the Blue/Gray Trail Loop you want (just use an old band in the meantime if you have one). Or, worst-case scenario, since you’d be within the 14-day return window, they might grant you an extension and allow you to come back once that band is in stock.

But there’s really no reason to keep Orange Alpine band and pay extra for the one you want if you don’t want the Orange Alpine.

I want the Orange Alpine band so I’m keeping it. I went ahead and ordered the Blue/Gray Trail loop and have a delivery date of 11/18-12/5.

My Ocean Band Ultra, ordered right after the keynote on September 7ᵗʰ, stills shows a delivery on the 23ʳᵈ, but still processing, and Apple hasn’t charged my Apple Account Balance yet…

The Apple store progress is BUNK! Mine says the same yet my Ultra is in Kentucky and will be in Jacksonville later today for delivery on Friday According to my UPS tracking.

I don't get this... The first shipment of Apple Watch Ultras just landed in the USA an hour ago...

Can you post your tracking history with the dates and times? Again - I just want to see it as it doesn't make any sense...

Especially if Apple is telling you they are having many complaints already about their watch not being delivered - when it's not supposed to be delivered for another 3 days...
Red Flags with their statement that theirs was out for delivery 3 days before everyone else and doesn’t back it up.

Even with the slip in "arrival date", Apple charged my CC today...so good news? Originally was Oct 3-10; slipped to Oct 6-13.

Apple doesn’t normally charge payment until the product is ready to be shipped. Did it move to Preparing to Ship?

Mine finally got charged and switched to Preparing to Ship this morning, for delivery on September 23ʳᵈ.

Mine moved back in the other (right) direction today. Went from, I believe, 9/30 to 10/7 to 10/7, and now today 10/3-10/7 AND I am preparing to ship.

You should check UPS to see better info. Mine is scheduled for Friday and Apple still says preparing but I can track on UPS and it shows it's been in China, S. Korea, Alaska and now Kentucky.

I started 9/29-10/something, then moved to 10/4-10/something else, now preparing to ship and “available to ship 2-3 weeks”.

Will there be any available in stores, unclaimed on Friday? Or will they all be spoken for? Mine with black/gray trail loop shows Oct 21 – Oct 28 currently. I would have chosen a different band if I would have known I'd get it earlier!

Probably, but the store(s) closest to you might not have extras of the exact band / color combo you're looking for.

Cool, I actually don't care what band I get. Just wondering if it's worth heading to the Apple Store or T-MObile store this Friday morning!

This is exactly my situation. Frustrating. Normally Apple surprises us with an earlier delivery. Not sure why our quoted delivery dates at the time of purchase are slipping?

I’m going to try and go by T-Mobile Friday and maybe get lucky. Otherwise guess I’m waiting until indefinitely

Though I’d lose the Apple veteran discount.

Mine just says available to ship in 2-3 weeks lolol. Rip. Was initially like 10/4 delivery or something, then 10/9, now who knows when.

I was in a similar situation. My original delivery window was 9/30 to 10/7. Earlier this week, it was pushed out to 10/5 to 10/12. Then yesterday, my credit card was charged and the status changed to "preparing to ship". My window still said "available to ship in 2-3 week". This morning I received a shipping notification informing me that I will receive my watch by 9/28! I was frustrated initially, but Apple has once again come through!

I hope everyone else who has had similar experiences get your watches earlier than expected as well!

I was checking to see if there was any change on mine or if there were any pick up options and found if I placed a new order it said it would arrive a week earlier. Because my original order didn’t include my trade in and I would have had it do that separately I went ahead and placed the new order and canceled my original one My new dates are October 14-21

Shipped!!!

My original delivery date was 10-30. Then delayed until 11-5 I think. This morning I got notified by Apple that it had shipped and will be here Wed. 9-28. But UPS shipping says a delivery Monday the 26th! It's at the clearing agency in China currently.

My Ultra finally shipped this morning. I have no idea how it’s supposed to arrive by tomorrow when it’s been sitting in Shanghai for 3 hours, but both Apple and UPS still claim that it will 🤷🏻‍♂️
