Is the new version "Air Jacket Rubber" better than the original hard plastic version? I think it only comes in Black and White (no Clear). Thanks!

Which is better is subjective but I have the space grey and I got the rubber black and I love it! Just a side note the inside is glossy, only the back is rubberized.
The rubber black looks good and I guess it should provide a good grip as well? Now the question is better to get rubber black from Power Support or black leather case from Apple considering negligible price difference. Any thoughts?

Hands-down power support is a better fit, more slim, and a better grip than Apple's leather cases.

There is clear and smoke that are a plastic hard case. In my experience they're ultra slippery, and cause me to have the phone slip out of my hand, especially when my hands are either too dry or too oily. If that's the type of case you want, there are similar cases for $2 on eBay
The black on the other hand is an amazing material. It's hard\slim, but has a slightly rubbery texture that allows it to have a little grip. I love it. I only gripe about the fact that it shows grease\fingerprints more than others, but the trade off is it's a fantastic slim fit that has a slight grip to it.

Hard shiny plastic on the inside. Texture halfway between rubber\tpu and hard plastic on the outside.
