Bah!!! I just paid $45 for the combo last week. I have it installed on my 2011 13" MBP. So far so go except some minor graphics tearing and jitters when I quickly swipe through full screen pages in Lion. It's kind of annoying, but not enough to want to return it -- or at least yet. But I wish I'd not suckered myself w/ the free USB drive and just bought the Crucial set.

Odd, Ive never ever had issues with GSkill. RMA it, GSkill has great CS, so does newegg.com

the girls over @ slickdeals.net are going nuts over this deal. I'd order before they break the site.

Gah. I just bought 8gb patriot ram at Fry's last night for 59.99 with a $20 mail-in rebate for the same price. We all know mail-in rebates take 2 years. :p

Would this work in a late 2008 MacBook pro? I know it's not exactly the right specs but they would still fit in the slots

Great deal, I bought it a few weeks ago for $48 shipped. So far so good (knock on wood * * *).

I can easily recommend this RAM.

You all can thank me for this. I bought for $69 a few days ago and this is usually what happens when I buy something. :p

That isn't caused by the memory. I have no issues with it.

I ordered mine on 7/05 and called Newegg and mentioned that this deal came out after I ordered mine. They wouldn't adjust the first few times I asked, and I said would you rather me return it in my 30 days and order this? So she said hang on, came back and gave me a credit of $10 back, and sending me the 4gb flash drive out! :)

I haven't seen either of them yet, but hopefully she gets it taken care of.

Will this work in the 15" MBPs released earlier this year? (Is there any difference between the RAM in the 13" and the 15"?)

The G.SKILL RAM is listed as: PC3 10666

While the Crucial RAM is listed as: PC3 10600

Does this make a difference? If this is compatible with my MBP I'll be jumping on this deal. Thanks for posting, OP!

This is a great deal, thank you for sharing! Absolutely going to pick one of these sets up.

Anyone use these in mid-2010 15" machines? I just was reading reviews and a GSKILL employee posted a response saying 2011+ will work fine. Now I'm concerned....

Will totally work.

It's a difference in naming convention only.

Exactly. I don't know what that guy is going on about, because that has nothing to do w/ the RAM. More with the refresh rate and vertical sync.
