G35 Coupe or Corvette C5?

If you've rode in a Corvette than you know the G35 Coupe is the way to go. My wife's firebird rode nicer than the Corvettes I've been in. They are a nice looking car though.

i hate it when people say stuff like this, like all American cars are better than Japanese cars. that's fine if you like your car, and it's fast. that's great for you. but did this guy ask anything about a 99 cobra? i don't think so

I hate it when people think because a car is American it automatically sucks.

Well, the G35 will never be as fast as a 'Vette. It's a touring car or sport sedan, and the Corvette is a pure sportscar. By upping the power and rebuilding the suspension to handle the power, you'd lose all the refinement and end up with something faster, but cruder, than what you started with - yet still not fast enough to beat a Corvette.

And yes, by doing all those mods you'd end up with a highly-stressed car that wouldn't be as reliable as the Corvette.

To be fair I dislike Ricers, Muscle car Rednecks and Euro-snobs equally...all performance cars have their strong points and weak points - only a fool would dismiss an entire nation's car industry at once. There are a number of Japanese cars that will match or beat the Cobra. A fairer comparison to the G35 would be a CTS. I'd take the G35 in that case. Ford doesn't really make a luxury sedan to compete with the G35, unless you consider the laughable Lincoln Mk Z as "competition".
 
It's going to be my DD. I like the corvette mainly because of it's performance and looks. I like the G35 because it is quite fast, it looks amazing, has a better interior over the vette, and also might just be a little more reliable.

I've asked people I know, and most if not all say the G35. Mainly because of the back seat, because I use the back seat a lot.

Plus i've been wanted a G35 for over a year now. The corvette a little less.

Oh, and price really isn't a concern between a G35 and Corvette.

well it sounds like you want to go with G35. do whichever you think will make you happier. but don't forget to post pics once you get it!
 
I will. Sitting in a car with t tops and then going to a sun roof is pretty different...

i don't like corvettes so ill say g35 for sure they are really slick looking and more of a practical car than the corvette....im a sucker for the interior too
 
G35 screams young, hip, and fresh, with a badass stock exhaust note.

Corvette screams mid-life crisis. Pop up head lights are so 80's.

End of story
 
My "sane" self picked up an Accord Coupe. I hope to live vicariously through someone, so please pick the G35.
