If you are referring to what's hanging on the wall in my picture, that's the back lid of the display to a 17" PowerBook G4 (A1013). Someday I intend to put a light with a switch behind the panel so that the logo will light up and the edges of the panel will have a soft backlit glow.

Now, hanging Macs (or bits of Macs) on the wall is one thing I've never done, and although I think it looks cool, don't think I ever will do the same - for fear of my life wife!
To be fair she's pretty tolerant, but if Mme ever caught sight of that she'd tow the guillotine out of storage.......
They're still a rather revolutionary lot.

Right, fellas... I am typing this from my new 1.42 GHz Dual Powermac G4, with 2GB RAM and a 256MB Radeon 9600 and it actually feels quite... zippy under Leopard. Cost me £40. Looks gorgeous connected to a 20" acrylic Cinema Display (had to use a A1006 adapter though, as the 9600 has dual DVI out and no ADC - looks like a flashed one).
It even has a USB 2.0 card and an Firewire 400 card (looks like the original FW400 ports from the motherboard are dead, although the FW800 one works).
Any recommendations as to what I should start playing with?
And any idea of what I should do with my poor 466 MHz DA with Radeon 9600 (64MB) and 1.5GB SDRAM?
Oh and anyone in London wanting a free 350 MHz G3 iMac (Blueberry - needs a new hard drive but starts up Ok)? The spare room is full...

Sounds like a really nice machine, I had a 1.42 MDD but the power supply was faulty so I sold it on. It would be interesting to see benchmarks vs my dual 1.8 DA, I've just sorted a new GPU cooler out for my Radeon 9800 so I'll be updating with that soon
