Its a little geeky to play the binary from the command line, but at 933 mhz, its likely your best bet. Coreplayer would have blown your socks off, but that's not available anymore. Boo-hoo.

Then, read this:

And you will no longer be a slave to Flash.

Then, read this, he is the OP and there is nothing he doesn't know about video playback on a G4:

Yep, Zen_State was the best on here.. but I myself have been studying PowerPC architecture for quite some time now and would be glad to assist those who have problems or need suggestions on how to get the best bang with their PowerPC Macs.

I do miss him and wish him well.. Perhaps he might come back.

Brilliant! I'm running VLC 1.1.12 on my 933MHz Quicksilver with osx 10.5.8 and its liquid smooth, using around 75% CPU on a 480p video encoded with x264.

Yes he was, and it was a bad call to ban him because he didn't coddle people..

I think an extended Time-Out would've been more beneficial both to the sanity of the forum & to zen. He was extremely knowledgable but was, at times, extremely rude. If you can't put up with repetitive questions & comments then there really is no point in being here. Some people have it all up there but just don't know a way of conveying it in words to someone who isn't on the same wavelength as you. And since being banned, all he has done on his blog his badmouth the forum & state that he's glad he was banned.

In my opinion some people need rudeness to wake up..Folks are to used to ask and answer with not work on their part..work at it, break stuff then fix it, gain knowledge the hard way. It's not new to need to shock people to make them listen.

I've always contended that some people need their noses broken to pay attention.

If you didn't like zen's rudeness do some research tell us what you found then ask a question..
