I would definitely try to do that clean install of Leopard. For 10.5 the two files just became that Extensions.mkext file, which is supposed to rebuild itself automatically as needed or whenever you install/remove a kext file. I'd try running permissions repair from the disk utility to see if that fixes it for you as well.

Just to add, I too have a Titanium DVI that has been unofficially "retired" just due to the accumulated wear. Oh well. :(

If it reports it, then it should be disabling it. It's still usable, but will be slower.

If it boots and DOESN'T report it, yoy may get a kernel panic or hard freeze at some point.

It says in system profiler under diagnostics

FAILED
Reason External Cache.

And it doesnt show up in programs which test caches.

And shes gone. :(:(:( She was a good Titanium. Faithfully serving me day-by-day. But now leaving me without a computer until the summer. I shall try and get a replacement much sooner. But things dont look good. With other personal issues in my way at the moment. :eek:'
