Damm, looks like the G5 will not be out for a while!! Thats what maccentral.com seems to be saying! At least we should see some GHz G4's with about 30% increases in speed

Why compare Fiats and Ferrari's by RPM? It's ludicrous to compare cars solely by RPM and that is akin to comparing computers solely by clockspeed.

I've been meaning to post this excelent representation of clock speeds and what they really mean for some time now. Ya beat me to it. To expound on this a little... I describe a P4 at a weedeater. Little moter that can spin like 12-18 thousand RPM, big deal, it aint movin my 2 ton car and nor is that P4 moving photoshop. My larger V8 moter mounted under the hood might redline at 4000RPM, but at several hundred horce power(depending of course on so many surrounding factors), it does a lot more work than that weedeater.
