Thing is, iPhones weren't known for it before iOS8....and Samsung have always been known for it.

Yeah, it's uncommon, but at least Apple fixed some issues. Samsung took forever to partially fix issues that I had in the past or completely ignored major functions entirely.

many iPad features are not supported on iPhone such as multi gestures. I highly suspect split screen will remain an iPad only feature.

Personally doesn't bother me as I never used it in my android devices as I find it impractical splitting screen and then adding keyboard input into the mix which blocks nearly half of what your splitting anyway. So for me not a big deal, but can see why others would want it.

But I still don't think we will be seeing it anytime soon an any iPhone

Congrats to Samsung and the note 4. Hope they keep pushing. It'll be interesting to see where they take the note 5.

As for this thread, I think someone still feels burned by the other threads he was embarrassed in. ;) And using the same tactics to derail a non-apple positive thread. Tsk tsk.

The proper thing to do -- what a real fan would do -- is respect that the competition is and has been heating up and hope that apple brings their A game to their phone updates this year. And if they reclaim their spot, hope that the android competition ups their game too down the line.

Competition is a healthy thing for the industry; fanboys are not.

I never use the Samsung multi window. I would never use it on iOS either. I had a Galaxy tab. Windows 8.1 does this too... Take it away. :p

Nice off-topic post. Doing what you claim others do.

i'm sure the next iphone plus will surely.
I don't think so. I think they will reserve split screen just for iPads ... Things like multi-touch gestures for multitasking are iPad only as it is for example. Unless Apple can solve the dilemma of split screen on a small screen and factor in usability when interacting with keyboard in those split screens in a more practical way than android solutions so far, I think they will for screen real estate reasons - leave it out of the iPhone's... But we will see :)

Yep totally agree. I think with the rapidly declining iPad sales they kept some features just for the iPad to spur sales.
