I have had a different experience than you. I have a Note 4 and it does not lag at all. It is one of the fastest phones I have had. I also have the 6+ and had the Nexus 6. I have found more lag on the 6+ than my N4.

Y..yeah. No. Everything lags in the Note 4, including opening Gmail, Play Music, Maps (scrolling at 20FPS, yay)...sorry but I can't see that being any further away from the truth. And this is from a guy who has tried his hardest to love the Note 4. It was laggy out of the box and laggy into it. Comparing it to the 6 Plus is a special kind of hilarity that rivals Chaplin.
Well.... If you read this thread or other android forums. I think you will find it is not as you describe.

Are you guys really arguing over 3 seconds difference in performing more tasks than many people do on their phone's in a day?
Come on for goodness sake, this is irrelevant. You buy the phone you like using the most and the one that provides the better user experience. By the looks of things they are both very good phone's. You are not going to worry about 3 seconds because you are not going to be comparing them side by side. This is as silly as the screen debate. They are both very good, pat yourselves on the back and exit stage left! 😛 🙂
To answer the OP's question I would say both phones are good options. Do you prefer Android or iOS? Only you can decide that and you will have a pretty comprehensive answer. 😉

You are really not going to be timing yourself every time you use your phone mate, I can assure you. I also doubt anybody will be flicking between applications as fast as in the video unless they have concentration issues, so on that basis I think both phones are as fast as desired under normal use.
However, if this video helps you make up your mind which one to get, all the power to you and enjoy your choice.
Nah. 6+ is not even close at all. Note 4 has a bigger and better screen in a smaller size. It has s pen, ir blaster, memory slot and removal battery, better front and back camera, 3gb ram and most important of all a better non locked down OS and non proprietary hardware.

That list is just to start and is not comprehensive. Add mouse support, Smartdock with HDMI/USB/audio jack ports to turn it into a micro computer, not only internal SD card storage but also external storage, more out-of-box media codec support, split screen multitasking and the list goes on and on.

Come on now, these are both very capable devices and there is no doubt they appeal to different types of users. The OP will know which best suit their needs.
Since you want to be so non discerning then a xiaomi or 1+1 that cost 1/2 are as capable as 6+.
I agree with you. Both phones are great! I posted the video to dispute mkTank and his Note 4 lag claims.

If cost was a constraint then I would choose the cheaper option. I wouldn't have any choice really. Luckily I am able to afford a device I will enjoy using and one that has continuity with other devices I own.
Its not a case of 'wanting' to be 'discerning', I am simply more open minded about devices I buy or consider. I can't see the point in choosing to dislike or favour a brand when it could perhaps be the best/worst choice further down the line.

I don't think you know what lag is. Or animation speeds for that matter. It's pretty funny that of all videos that might have a chance at proving something, you picked the least relevant one.

Find me an iPhone 6 Plus video (running the latest software, which has removed most framerate drops) that has lag that is just as bad. Oh here, I searched for it and the only thing I found (by an Android fan) was somebody who thinks the phone registering a button touch is "lag." No guarantees it's running the latest version but it was a hilariously weak argument on his part so I'll post it anyway:

I am someone coming from using the note line since the note 2 and have owned all of them. I had an iphone 5 and got rid of it because the screen was way too small and battery life was horrible. I actually got the iphone 6 plus over the note 4 because I have been on android for so long and just needed a break.
For those saying the note doesn't lag I have to say Yes it does I mean is it crazy lag, no but it certainly is NOT as smooth as the iphone. I have to say you guys are way too worried about the amount of ram in the iphone because obviously apple knows what they are doing I mean the iphone is in my experience the smoothest phone out. If you root the note and put a custom rom on there that will drastically reduce lag but it still wont be quite as smooth as the iphone.
As far as battery life goes the iphone definitely seems to have better screen on time by far. I know the note has a ton of features with the s pen but to be honest I never really used the s pen. I do think a lot of the features that Samsung throws into touchwiz are useless and just add bloat and lag but the S pen is awesome, I just didn't use it much. I have to say like another user said switching from the note to the iphone has been a breath of fresh air but that is certainly not to say the note is a bad phone at all. I would definitely consider getting another one but as far as smoothness and refinement goes the iphone is better and the apps on iphone are better than the apps on android.

I'd rather have 128GB of internal memory than have an SD card. I'd also rather have the excellent battery life on the 6 plus than having a removable battery. Ios doesn't need 3GB of ram.

Even with the advantage of very low resolution iPhone 6 still ends up last after Nexus 6 which probably has storage encryption enabled and Note 4.

All this shows to me is that despite the iPhone having 1gb of ram and 1.4ghz dual core compared to 2gb in the Nexus 6 and 3gb in the Note 4 and both with 2.5ghz + quad cores - it manages to hold pace with those devices that folks in the 'real world', as opposed to 'people with chips on their shoulder who like making lots of noise of forums' would find their device performs near indistinguishable from those others with 'superior specification devices'.....
I do appreciate saving up all those seconds (which must be at least 30 seconds in a day) - must be of such a high priority given all the time you waste mouthing off about iOS & the iPhone here in this forum section though .....
