It's good he didn't test running multiple apps in split screen mode since iPodOS isn't capable and 1GB DRAM would fail miserably.

Oh that's another 3 seconds you've used up .... You must be delighted. Seriously your like a broken record.......

Seriously.. main point is to smash the "broken record" that 6+ never lags (or all Android phone lags). Some ifans seem to be stuck in a time-loop.

I just came back to a IPhone 6 from a Note 3. I will never go back to Android. to many crap aps you don't use.

Sounds like one of the reasons I left iphone for Note 4, never going back to iphone?? I don't know, because they could come up with another revolutionary device like they once did (first iphone) but iphones recently have been nothing but more of the same old stuff with every new iphone that came out. For now, I have the Note 4 and not looking to go back to iphone.

ok sounds good

All this shows to me is that despite the iPhone having 1gb of ram and 1.4ghz dual core compared to 2gb in the Nexus 6 and 3gb in the Note 4 and both with 2.5ghz + quad cores - it manages to hold pace with those devices that folks in the 'real world', as opposed to 'people with chips on their shoulder who like making lots of noise of forums' would find their device performs near indistinguishable from those others with 'superior specification devices'.....

I do appreciate saving up all those seconds (which must be at least 30 seconds in a day) - must be of such a high priority given all the time you waste mouthing off about iOS & the iPhone here in this forum section though .....

Isn't that what the Android "lag" people do? Does that bother you this much? Maybe the poster was trying to show that lag is not OS dependant?

I'm debating between the Note and 6+ currently.

I like some of the tools and versatility of the Note 4, but it does feel a bit clunky in terms of the UI and laggy in parts.

The 6+ looks and feels nicer and the iOS 8 just flows, but the tools at your disposal are way limited compared to the Note 4.

Decisions decisions. I'm in no rush, and still rolling along with my S5 for now.

Let's see both have screens, both have pretty little colored thingies you touch with a finger, both cost a lot and do stuff. Yeah Samsung has blown the market up oh wait...

Nah. 6+ is not even close at all. Note 4 has a bigger and better screen in a smaller size. It has s pen, ir blaster, memory slot and removal battery, better front and back camera, 3gb ram and most important of all a better non locked down OS and non proprietary hardware.

+1

That list is just to start and is not comprehensive. Add mouse support, Smartdock with HDMI/USB/audio jack ports to turn it into a micro computer, not only internal SD card storage but also external storage, more out-of-box media codec support, split screen multitasking and the list goes on and on.

+1

I'd rather have 128GB of internal memory than have an SD card. I'd also rather have the excellent battery life on the 6 plus than having a removable battery. Ios doesn't need 3GB of ram.

----------

I pretty much agree with all this (except for the lag).

I'd rather have 32GB Internal storage PLUS 128GB MicroSD so that when I move to my next phone all I do is eject the MicroSD, put it in the next phone and have all my media in my new phone in just seconds.

The Note 4 has scored much better in battery tests than the 6 Plus, so not only does the Note 4 give better endurance but you can switch batteries or fast charge it, either way the 6 Plus loses this area BADLY. :)

Cheers!

No it hasn't. Look up the Note 4 review by Anandtech (the only reliable source for battery tests given the lengths they go to make them fair). The 6 Plus lasts almost two hours longer on Wi-Fi and lasts a little longer with LTE. It also doesn't throttle nearly as much. All of this information comes from scientifically performed tests and is all available on the same page. Don't spread misinformation and/or stop getting your information from Samsung forums.

No the poster has no good motive, their sole purpose is to troll and attack. They lack any ability to see things objectively and a quick glimpse at their post history only confirms this. That is what I object to. I honestly have no issues with people preferring one device to another, but the nonsensical and persistent unnecessary rants they post which turn every thread into a flamewar are getting very tiresome and the alternatives section would be better served without that type of contribution.

Strange so many of you experience lag on the Note4. Mine (F (Snap 805), European variant, with German NK4 firmware, non-rooted, with only some 2-3 additional third-party (mostly camera) apps installed) is absolutely OK. I don't use Facebook / Twitter / other social stuff (only Foursquare / Flickr / Dropbox but not from the Note). I don't use Samsung's cloud either. No microSD card.

Note: I haven't activated anything add-on from Samsung - only S-Health (love the pedometer!). This also means S-Voice (or whatever) isn't active either (it doesn't support my native language and I don't want to get ridiculed of my broken English pronunciation). Given that S-Voice is stated to be a resource hog and slowing down seriously the responsiveness of the left soft button, it may be causing the lag with your phone too.

This is the website where the owner is an employee of apple. You are not going to convince many that is objective either.

I couldn't have put it better myself. There was very little between the 3 devices in that video and if anything it proved that each device was faster on certain tasks than others. For much of the video the Nexus 6 was way behind the other 2 but managed to nip it at the end and only by a few seconds. Again I really can't believe debating has stooped to the level of fighting over a few seconds. You just wouldn't care in real world usage.

There will be no fighting if all the apple fanboys stop with the nonsense that all Android phones lag a lot compared to iphone. Of course people will get ticked off when bombarded such nonsense over and over.

Really are you sure? You came out with this nonsense only yesterday looking for reactions.

You don't strike me as somebody who accepts differing opinions or accepts others may choose products for different reasons considering how often you recycle selective nonsense. There are problems on both sides of this discussion.

The big difference is there is no untruth in what I wrote. Note 4 does indeed have those capabilities which iphone doesn't. It is nonsense of you to say what I wrote is nonsense.

Apple fans are the one that go and make up real nonsense about note 4 lag as a reason not choose note4. Why should I accept this as "differing opinion". That is just nonsense of the highest degree.

Oh i hear you on what you are saying. But when it is the other way around i don't see your outrage against all the flame bait and nonsense.

If you want an ir blaster and a pen go for the note 4, if you don't need either go for the i6. Problem solved. I don't need either.

So you went with i6 for its lag free UI then. Wait...didnt you hear note 4 UI doesn't lag either. I am glad I got note4 because it got so many capabilities over i6.

I'm happy for you, I really am. I'm happy you can say your note 4 has more capabilities than my phone. But I got the better phone overall. /sar

The nonsense is when you insinuate the features and sarcastic digs you make are relevant to others when it's clear they are not.

This isn't about phones though is it? For you it's about capitalising on an 'us and them' mentality and sadly there are quite a few others with the same agenda. Yes it's nonsense.

Galaxy Note 4 or iPhone 6 Plus for the next two years?

For the most part I just abandon threads when they start spiralling like that (hence you don't see me respond) and merely let the mods deal with it. I only intervene when certain posters are exhibiting an obvious pattern of behaviour in every thread and then I still only do so after making mods aware of the posters behaviour. To be honest - I have better things to be doing and enjoying :)

I'm tired of the cliches of all the fanatics and rather just enjoy being device agnostic and basque in their gadgety goodness ....

I get my information from both PhoneArena and GSMArena, all 3 (Anandtech incl.) use various ways of testing and 2 of the 3 have the Note 4 as being better, lets not forget the Note 4's fast charging which obliterates the ludicrously long time it takes to charge a plus, which is confirmed by every source.

Just because you do not like it, it does not make it 'misinformation'.

My 6 plus with the 12 watt iPad charger - goes from 50% - 100% in about an hour. Strangely despite it's bigger battery (than the 6) I find for me it charges in about same time frame ?

My Galaxy alpha can go from 10-20% to fully charged in about 60 minutes. Very fast at charging, but then it only has a 1800mah battery.

How long out of interest does a Note 4 takes to charge ?
