i'm curious what the Galaxy SIII would bring over the Galaxy SII HD LTE.

The SII HD LTE has a larger 4.65" HD screen, plus LTE, also a larger battery iirc and smaller top and bottom bezels. It's a completely different beast altogether.

I can only think of a higher 12MP camera that i doubt would be much better, TW ICS (which the S II HD will also get) and maybe a quad core CPU, but that seems overkill and would be horrible for battery life if you ask me.

More cores don't necessarily use more power if it's fast enough to get back to sleep.

Only by increasing the power of the phone will app devs have the ability to make more powerful apps. I think the only reason apple is starting to follow the hardware race is that they see what other manufactures are going to be capable of app wise. Tegra zone has some pretty potent games, I wouldn't say they blow apple out of the water quite yet but they will if apple doesn't follow suit.

I think that is actually compared to a Tegra 2 lol cause I recognize the web browsing (blockiness). Keep in mind you can't scroll and have the web page load in iOS at the same time as it tries to maintain fluidity of the scrolling action.

So you have experience with ICS and you say it's clunky and sucky?
How many months have you used ICS, and what specifcally is clunky, (the gps app, what?)
I would love to hear what you don't like about the new os, maybe I won't even go to the store for a look based on that statement, (why waste the gas)? but really, I definitely don't want a phone that doesn't scroll smoothly or loads apps quickly, that would be frustrating in this day and age.

I guess you didn't heed the advice I gave you about being quiet and not letting on how much you "DON'T" know. Impart your ICS experience on all of us here as you seem to know soooooo much about smartphones. In fact, how about a smartphone history lesson. Maybe you can start with the Ericsson R380, or even the first Nokia Communicator. Or maybe even the first consumer level smartphone, the Nokia N95. Have you used any of them? Survey says no... So again, to roll back to your question, how can you compare an iPhone 4S to vaporware?

----------

That'll prolly get rid of the "clunkyness" the fanboyz are talking about ;)

When you say fanboys, are you talking about the independent blog/magazine studies that deride the lack of fluidity in the Android UI? These fanboys? Man this is too easy...

I think the iPhone 5 will wipe the floor with the S3. Then once the iphone 6 comes out it'll be a real bloodba...er I mean plasticbath! :D

I know, I was just kidding since we know nothing about one of the phones listed. Once the S3 does get announced, I'm sure there will be quite a few hands-on reviews and previews coming out to give us a clearer picture. Anyway the timelines are pretty spread out so its hard to compare in such a fast evolving industry.

I was really disappointed with the 800x480 resolution on the S2 as I had a Samsung rogue with the same resolution in a screen that was about 3 inches and it wasn't even a smartphone!

My guess, it'll be a galaxy nexus with a flat screen, same resolution and better camera, SAMOLED+ instead of the pentile and a faster dual core proc. Also since ICS appears to have eliminated jerkiness, Samsung will attempt to bring it back by installing touchwiz.

what you described is already on the market, includes LTE and is called the S II HD.

Eager Beaver Banned!!! I missed why, I guess after two time outs in a short period, I can't be surprised. What happen he flip out again?

No, the iphone 4s was the 1st to come out, the SGS3 will be 4-5 months behind, (Apple was first this time) -:)
(sgs2 came out over a year ago, it's the old phone = to iphone4)
(the ihpone 5 will be lucky to come out by the end of the year)

Your timeline is wrong.

I
iPhone 4 came out in June of 2010, before Galaxy S (July 2010).
The Galaxy S II came out in May, 5 months before the iPhone 4S.
They were ahead of Apple, not behind.

He's been banned, you're wasting your typing skills.

I'd go with a 3GS before any android os device. So your opinion means nothing to me.

Okay...? It's an opinion. I stated that for me, the GS3 will be better than the 4S. Why am I supposed to care that you don't care about what I said?

If you examine what you said, you'll notice that you basically said this: "My preference makes your preference not matter, to me."

Of course! Someone else's preference doesn't effect yours. Nor was it supposed to. That's what's funny, really. My preference wasn't supposed to matter, and it's purpose wasn't to be a "fact" of some sort that would change other people's preferences.

Your comment has no real point to it. No reason. No basis. No sense.
Now I understand that posting this reply doesn't really accomplish much. But I feel like posting it, nevertheless.

You stated your opinion and I stated mine.

Problem?

When you look at it that way, yeah, there isn't a problem. You can state opinions.

But it's the way you did it. So odd and seemingly emotionally charged, for no reason. My reply should explain what I mean by that.
