Makes me wonder if the stage is being set to completely phase out the S-Pen for the Ultra too. Which is sad. I probably use it once per month but when I do, I'm thankful it's there.Looking like no S pen support
I question the use of the phrase "less than a large bar of chocolate." I eat some pretty big chocolate bars, but they still weigh less.
Yep, seems like the case.Looking like no S pen support
There’s case makers out there indicating that there will be S-Pen support… but until Samsung validates it, I think you are right that Samsung has decided to go in a different direction.Looking like no S pen support
I don’t know… I seen this one video discussing how there is internal discussion whether to remove the silo in an attempt to gain more battery in the S Ultra series.Yep, seems like the case.
We all know how this will turn out. Samsung is waiting on Apple to release their foldable then we will magically get a brand new redesign Samsung Fold with a S Pen.

From the Fold 3 to the 6… there were plenty of marketing material showcasing S-Pen support, but none so far for the Fold 7. As I stated earlier in the thread… PandaFlashPro stated that their will be a special S-Pen to support the Fold 7, maybe we will get word about it tomorrow.
But I’m highly skeptical that Fold 7 will support S-Pen functionality.

Basically, the S-Pen is looking to get phased out in the Fold and S Ultra series… keeping stylus support tied to the Tab series (tablets) similar to Apple.
And that’s leading me to believe Samsung won’t allow S-Pen support… because it would have been shown in the marketing material.Yeah seems odd that there has been no mention of it
I wish I had your optimism!I'm still optimistic that there will be s pen support.
We'll know in 1 day.And that’s leading me to believe Samsung won’t allow S-Pen support… because it would have been shown in the marketing material.
And what’s crazy about that whole comparison sheet between Folds @nfl46 posted, there’s no S-Pen category. It’s as if Samsung wants to remove any word of it completely. They could at least acknowledge there’s no S-Pen for the Fold 7.
I wish I had your optimism!
It’s actually rumored to remove the digitizer to enable Qi2 magnets.I can see how eliminating S Pen could benefit the S Ultra series by providing room for a larger battery
I don't really write with the S-Pen, more so navigating around One UI... selecting text and using air command. And it's not like the "end of the world" kind of thing... but not planning on accepting the lost of it, certainly will skip this generation to see if Samsung reverse course.Looking through my Samsung Notes app, I actually use my S Pen more often than I realize. I mean, it's not a daily usage but I do have a new page of handwritten notes a couple of times each month. Sometimes I'm on a call and jotting notes down at the same time. I really hope S Pen support is still available on the Fold 7. If no S Pen then I really don't see the need for Samsung Notes to exist.
I agree. However, I don't think they're going with no s pen support. We'll soon see..IF it's true, no s-pen support is a bad decision especially on a foldable with a bigger screen. If they remove the s-pen from the Ultra series of phones also, then I will certainly be dropping Samsung as my second phone. It is the one thing that stands out from Pixel, iPhone and just about every other brand. I may just go back to having one phone, my iPhone.
Not to sound like a blind Samsung defender because I will also be pissed if they ditch the S-Pen, but I respectfully disagree that the S-Pen is the thing that stands out. OneUI is the thing that sticks out as I believe of the 3 you mentioned, it's by far the best software of any of them. Pixel launcher sucks so if you get a Pixel, you have to slap on another launcher. iOS is trash right now and they seem to have zero creative vision anymore.IF it's true, no s-pen support is a bad decision especially on a foldable with a bigger screen. I’d counter that OneUI is trash until you slap Good Lock, Theme Park, Home Up, and KWGT on it. But everyone’s taste is different.Pixel launcher sucks so if you get a Pixel, you have to slap on another launcher.
Yeah I mean 3 of those are Samsung apps, but I do agree that it would be cool if they were just baked in.I’d counter that OneUI is trash until you slap Good Lock, Theme Park, Home Up, and KWGT on it. But everyone’s taste is different.
