I've just seen the tracking update for my Thinborne case... Its coming from China!

I thought they were made in the States?!

Unimpressed if it is Chinese made. It'll be going straight back on that basis

Designed in US and made in China. Not sure why that should make you return it? Even some models of Spigen cases are made there too.

Surely as long as the case is of good quality thats all that matters, no?

I believe it states somewhere on their website that the cases are made in China.

This is underneath the S25 Ultra case.

I’m curious if any of you all are getting the Apple foldable? I’ve been disappointed with the rumors about it being passport-sized. The Z Fold 7 has been a pleasure to use, though I do miss iMessage/FaceTime and a couple of apps that are buggy on Android. Not sure if those reasons are enough to make me drop a couple grand on the Apple attempt.

I’d like to but I’m not sure about a few things. First, the rumored more ‘passport style aspect ratio’ and second, possible camera limitations.

I’ve owned all of Google’s foldables and while I initially thought I’d prefer the taller form factor of the 9 and 10 Pro Folds as I found the cover display experience on the initial Pixel Fold a bit smaller than I wanted, I’ve come to realize I use my foldable’s folded open much more, often for video and think a more landscape rectangular aspect ratio is better. That being said, the more squarish designs of the Z Fold 7 and last two offerings from Google are obviously better for displaying all other type of content. And of course, there’s the concern over what Apple will charge for it—$2,000 is comparable to much of the competition but more than that would be a tough pill to swallow considering my P10PF was $1800 and included over $500 in credits with Google thanks to their preorder promo (and my Google One subscription) and a year of free premium Gemini ($240 value).

I am more optimistic about the software experience for apps on the inner display considering Apple’s tablet app ecosystem is much better. I’m honestly just going to have to wait and see how Apple’s version plays out.

I'm at CES 2026 and after I've seen the Galaxy Fold 8, I want to throw my Fold 7 out of the window.

The new screens and mechanics are insane.

This will be a game changer in iPhone Fold also.

And AI humanoids, omg it's raining robots in 2026.

Basically each company now has a humanoid and we've even got the real life Wall-E ❤️

I pre-ordered so much lol.

Passport design is what has got me excited. Love this form factor

Samsung are releasing one too

IMO the OG Google Pixel Fold was the best design of the lot; perfect sized front screen and inner screen

Just a shame they all got a lot bigger…

The Fold 7 is excellent though, its thinness is what wins it for me

Well, I'm getting an Apple foldable... but for my lady (she don't care for Android). And you could always use BlueBubbles or OpenBubbles for iMessage/FaceTime.... that's what I been doing.

It's too much I enjoy on the Android side of things for me to switch to an iPhone... from S-Pen to all the Good Lock modules, it's just a better experience. And I still carry an iPad (cellular) to assist with staying in the Apple Ecosystem.

Same. Samsung's software for me is just leaps ahead of iOS that I'll be going with one of the foldables from Samsung in July.

I'm getting the Apple foldable and the passport format looks great, I think it is a much better format for a foldable small tablet. I'm finding my Fold 7 too skinny and tall in every day usage and the inner screen isn't in a good aspect ratio for what I'm doing.

I also prefer iOS and the support from third party things that comes with it so that does a lot.

Got my Thinborne case delivered. Decided I don't want to use it 🤦🏼‍♂️

Still fully sealed etc

If anyone wants it in the UK drop me a message please. Selling it for what I paid 👍🏼

I don't like iOS, especially when I occasionally have to play in it's sandbox because my wife likes it. ;)

Tom

Honestly I wouldn’t have much problems with Android if services and apps just worked on it, but currently you feel like a second class citizen when it comes to support from third parties. It’s everything from a lot of credit cards not being able to be added to Samsung/Google Wallet to one of the biggest taxi services here having a broken Android app.

If I could get the same support from third parties and app developers I would likely use Android more than I do.

I am using lot's of apps for our swiss transport, banks, travels, post, insurance, weather, etc.

Local devs here always care about both Android and iOS here and I don't see any quality difference when checking them on both systems.

Also I really like all of the Google apps and services and they work flawlessly - at least for me.

The One UI 8 in Fold 7 feels amazing compared to iOS.

Apple in general has became catastrophic since a couple of years, not to even mention the Mac OS Tahoe and all of the issues with my MacBooks, iMacs, Homepods, Apple TV and Watch.

Basic things simply don't work like they used to do back in 1998 - 2019.

It freaks me out when I need to open the Terminal and change stuff manually to make basic things like WiFi work.

A Homepod cannot be connected to the newest Apple TV without spending dozens of minutes of trying to find out the root cause and restart everything.

The Photos app is an insult for every customer and it's fully broken in terms of usability and quality.

The list of categories and issues is endless and it all started around 2020 already.

Simple daily routine things are broken for Apple, that's why I'm glad I got my Fold 7 where the same user-friendly widgets and apps are still available since my first Samsung Galaxy S from 2010 (!)

Getting the Fold 8 during the July Unpacked event 2026 directly.

Not only the crease is gone completely due to new folding mechanics, but also the ultra wide lens get 50MP instead of 12MP.

It's time for Federighi to go.
