"Game of Thrones" star Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo in the well-known HBO series, has been cast in the lead role in Apple's upcoming futuristic drama series "See," reports Variety.

"See" has been described as an epic world-building drama set in the future, with little additional information available on the series at this time. Momoa will play the role of Baba Voss, a "fearless warrior, leader and guardian."

Known for his role as Khal Drogo in the first season of "Game of Thrones," Momoa also stars in "Aquaman," coming out later this year. He's also had roles in "Justice League," "Braven," "Once Upon a Time in Venice," "Stargate Atlantis," and "Conan the Barbarian."

"See" was written by "Peaky Blinders" creator Steven Knight and it will be directed by Francis Lawrence, known for his work on "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and "Mockingjay."

"See" is just one more than a dozen original television shows that Apple has in the works. It's not clear when the first of Apple's TV series will launch, but rumors have suggested the shows could start debuting in March 2019.

Apple is said to be considering launching a new streaming video service, which could potentially be bundled with an Apple Music subscription and a digital magazine and new subscription.

I don't think any company should be allowed to have exclusive content. I have netflix which has some original content that I like. There are a few shows on some other networks that I would quite fancy and who knows this could be one of them. But it is unrealistic for the public to sign up for every service just to get one or two shows from each network.

no it's very realistic. cause they do it. that's the nature of the business. and folks fall for it. just like many of them fall for this 'need' to have the latest and greatest so they upgrade their iPhone every year even if it's barely changed from the year before.

Wasnt he only in the show for like two seasons and then died

I remember him from his Stargate Atlantis days. A raw and untalented back then. But he has aged well.

I've only seen him in Stargate Atlantis, he was great in that, so good luck to him.

I enjoyed watching him in the Red Road and Frontier.

I hope Apple doesn't make him be a karate guy. He can do more than stomp around scowling and smashing things.

Doubtful. Certain guys are just made for certain roles. Sure, he could try playing the gentle giant like The Rock with a sensitive side but it just doesn't sit right.

So, we've had "Walking Dead" - the story of one man and his family trying to survive in a world overrun by dreadful zombies; "Dark Skies"- the story of one man and his family trying to survive in a world overrun by dreadful space aliens; "Terra Nova" - the story of one man and his family trying to survive in a world overrun by dreadful dinosaurs.

Now we're to get "See" - the story of one man and his family trying to survive in a world overrun by dreadful sci-fi plots.
