So I just recently partitioned my Mac with windows and I'm looking to play a few games on the windows partition. Here are my specs:

    15" Macbook Pro
    2.6 GHz i7 Processor
    Intel 4000 Graphics / NVIDIA GTX 650m
    8 Gb Ram
    500 Gb HDD

So I tried to play Battlefield 3 on the lowest settings and it took up all of my cpu and still couldn't work right. What games then would work well on this partition? And is there any way I can boost my mac's performance so maybe I can run these games?

I don't think BF3 will run nicely with the 650M because I believe that has 512MB of VRAM. The best one to get is a 660M with 1GB of VRAM. I was able to run it on medium settings with about 40 FPS.

The 2.6 GHz MacBook Pro comes with the 1 GB 650M. Only the 2.3 GHz classic MBP has 512 MB.

Whoops. Got them confused. OP says he has a HDD so that can't be a retina.

You can customize it from the online store to get the 2.6 gHz with 1 gb of vram.

I assume you went through the last step of the bootcamp install and installed the Apple drivers including video driver? I've got a circa 2012 MBP (see sig) and I have no problems running games on Windows 7, under bootcamp, although I admit to not have played BF3. Is that a particularly demanding game? I'm playing World of Tanks in the range of 40-80 fps.

I've had no issues running any of the latest or demanding games with the 1gb Nvidia GT650M. Just keep boot camp drivers up-to date and download and install nvidia geforce experience tool from the nvidia website. Checkout my channel below for tutorials
