Just curious...what do you think is better gatorade or powerade? Or don't drink either? Or list other energy-type drink you drink...

Im a fan of the light blue powerade. I used to drink it like water back in high school.

I'm not a fan of gatorade (besides the orange- thats good stuff), it tasts too watered down, if you know what i mean... especially the rain's.

I don't care for the rain either actually.

Neither. Both are just sugar and water. If I need something to cool down, I'll just have water instead.

Powerade, I haven't experienced a Powerade flavor I haven't liked yet. Plus it is usually cheaper than Gatorade, but either is just fine.

My favorite is the orange Gatorade. Though I would drink/buy either one if the doesn't have my favorite.

It's funny, I was just discussing this topic at noon today with my dad.

Neither. Aren't they both just an expensive mix of sugar and water with dye thrown in? Water is a great sports drink.

I like Gatorade. Powerade just doesn't taste right to me; like someone took some kind of chemical and dropped it into some Gatorade. And I don't like plain water, so that's out.

None of the above. All of them are high fructose corn syrup crap, loaded with aspertame, and you crash and crash HARD after drinking them.

Personally, I drink MonaVie Emv. First ever hybrid health/energy drink. Details on it at the URL above.

BL.

The only one I can tolerate is the original Gatorade lemon-lime, and even then only when I'm extraordinarily thirsty. Ice water is fine with me most any other time, or iced tea.

I prefer them both my favorite of both is cool blue. I like powerade cause its cheap and doesn't build up that sugary spit in my mouth during a run. As opposed to that of gatorade. But just to drink i prefer gatorade. Blue is about the only flavor i drink to though i do like endurance formula gatorade lemon lime. They had that at the marathon that i ran and it was good. As opposed to some comments above in my sport if you only drink water you have a higher chance of crashing and hitting a wall;). Its good to mix between the 2 especially in long distance racing. Oh and gels are good to!

I like Gatorade, more specifically Gatorade G2 (doesn't irritate my GERD). Powerade just seems to have a bitter taste to it.

Six of one, half dozen of the other for me.

I feel the same.

No difference for me. Give me any flavour or brand, and it tastes similar enough that I'd never reject one because it's not my favourite colour. Perhaps if I tried every flavour in one day, I'd have a favourite. However, I drink that stuff so rarely that I really can't remember which ones I've had.

Actually, water isn't as good a sports drink as Gatorade or Powerade for athletes. ;) I'm normally one of those people who only drink water at home and in restaurants (and a bit of coffee or tea as well). However, during or after really strenuous exercise, such as a half-marathon or something, Gatorade and Powerade help a lot more than bottled water does.

I guess if you added a bit of salt, and a lot of sugar to some water, and mixed it really well, it would work the same as Gatorade. I just don't think I'm willing to do that.

Gatorade Lemon-Lime. But I would take water over both any day.

Same for me. Lemon-Lime is the only way to go if you go that way at all.

vitamin water

I'll only go for the Orange if I go this route.

Powerade has always seemed too syrupy for my tastes and Gatorade has way too much sugar to really do any good. It's just something I have now and then to throw in some variety, otherwise it is plain tap water and some ice.
