I've only ever had Powerade (not sure if they sell Gatorade here?). But it's not half bad.

After a long day on the b-ball court, there is nothing better than a nice big bottle of Fuji water. I use to drink Gatorade a lot (fruit punch), but water always felt the best after a coming off the court or a workout.

Plus it is usually cheaper than Gatorade, but either is just fine.

This is exactly how I feel. I used to drink a bunch of the stuff, seeing as how it is a little better for me than soda (my true vice), but the cost has gone up on both brands within the last 6 months or so.

One odd thing I have noticed about Gatorade vs. Powerade is that I have seen Powerade popping in soda fountains at various restaurants, but I have never seen Gatorade at one. I have seen Powerade as an option at McDonalds, Steak Escape, and a few other places, but never Gatorade. It's odd.

Have you actually tried it? Any good?

I haven't tried it yet. It looks like you have to order it in large packs and I only really want to taste the stuff. My plan is to buy a pack for me and all my friends for Christmas so we can all get our thirst mutilated together.

I think that is because powerade is made by coca-cola where as gatorade is just gatorade.

Orange Gatorade for after heavy exercise. Orange G2 for replenishing fluids the next morning after night time activities. Water the rest of the time.

Yeah, I realize that. I just thought it was odd that Pepsi doesn't do the same thing with Gatorade. I've been in places that serve Pepsi products, but I have never seen Gatorade "on tap". Usually, if one company does something and it is successful, the other quickly follows.

None of the above. All of them are high fructose corn syrup crap, loaded with aspertame, and you crash and crash HARD after drinking them.

Personally, I drink MonaVie Emv. First ever hybrid health/energy drink. Details on it at the URL above.

BL.

Oh no, please don't try to turn this into an MLM forum... I can give all of you plenty of reasons with solid scientific research that will tell you to stay away from all of those MonaVie beverages.

Personally I prefer Lemon-Lime Gatorade mixed at a 1-1 ratio with pure water, most of them are too sweet for my liking to begin with. I have a bias against Powerade because I allowed them to test the stuff out on me before marketing it and it was a horrible experience. I was on a 90 mile backpacking trip in New Mexico in July and they had half of us drink Powerade only and the other half drink water only, the worst part was that they didn't have bottles, only 12oz cans, so every 10 miles or so there was a drop point where we dropped off our empties and grabbed however many more cans we needed... And if you've ever backpacked a distance you know that weight isn't measured in pounds or kilos but in grams... You feel every little bit of weight, and those cans were heavy. They also had a richer mixture back then too so my thirst was never quenched. Never again.
