None of the above. All of them are high fructose corn syrup crap, loaded with aspertame, and you crash and crash HARD after drinking them.

Personally, I drink MonaVie Emv. First ever hybrid health/energy drink. Details on it at the URL above.

HFCS *and* aspartame? What are you even talking about? Also, most Gatorade bottles have 10-30g of sugar... which isn't enough to make someone "crash hard" unless they have diabetes or something...

I have hypoglycemia, in which the HFCS in gatorade and powerade send me crashing and crashing hard. I would rather not spend another 2 days in the hospital from having these again, thank you.

Oh no, please don't try to turn this into an MLM forum... I can give all of you plenty of reasons with solid scientific research that will tell you to stay away from all of those MonaVie beverages.

I never did. Plus I know the rules here, thank you very much. You drink what you want, I drink what I want. All I am doing is saying what I drink and providing info on what it is. You want to turn this into a MLM thread? by all means, do. I'll see yourself thrown out of here faster than you can say 'Amway'.

Real nice way to assume because I drink something, I'm trying to get someone in on something.

Oh c'mon, let's at least be honest here:

Are we supposed to just guess that you were speaking to an audience of hypoglycemics?

Hypoglycemia is a symptom, not a disease or condition. You cannot just "have" hypoglycemia. You can have a tendency to become hypoglycemic, but it's not a chronic condition. My guess is that you drank a ton of Gatorade/Powerade, and didn't have a strenuous enough work out to use all of the sugar. Or you possibly didn't have enough protein.

Also, 2 days in the hospital? From a hypoglycemia incident? I find that hard to believe.

I'm pretty sure the title of the thread was "Gatorade or Powerade" though

The condition is permanent, but treatable with a proper diet. In short, I deal with it by changing my eating habits, but all in all, it is permanent like luggage. You're right. At the time, I didn't have enough protein, despite eating 3 meals/day. I've had to change that by cutting out the complex sugars, like the HFCS in these type of drinks, stopped drinking sodas altogether. 3 meals have become 6; smaller portions more often.

Also, 2 days in the hospital? From a hypoglycemia incident? I find that hard to believe.

Hypoclycemia, hyperthyroidism, sinusitis, strep throat, and salmonella poisoning all at the same time could land anyone in the hospital. The hypoglycemia and hyperthyroidism are part symptom/part cause. The others primarily did me in. End result was that I fell asleep after eating the wrong food that wasn't packaged right, fell asleep, woke up 21 hours later in a hospital bed with an IV in my arm. Found out what I had from my doctor when I woke up.

That's neither here nor there now. I'm alive, doing better; that's all that matters.
