This company is a rip off and a cheat company. I was about to sell my 2015 Macbook Pro 15 inch in excellent condition, and these morons wanted 400 for it.. when it is worth over 1000 with box and brand new like condition.

I used the trade in program from Apple twice and it was great...and fast. Received the money as a gift card in my Apple wallet. I never tried the Gazelle option.
When I read on Apple's site that I could get my trade-in dollars placed back on the CC that I used to purchase our new iPhones, I was in! I didn't want a gift card... Plus, will never go thru VZ for a new phone purchase. It was a disaster this time around.

But but but phobio hahahahah suckers, trade ins are the biggest scams there is unless your device is brand new

The $615 iPhone I bought a few years ago they say is worth $21.

Maybe it is and was never worth 6 bills

Or to their cell provider. My wife upgraded from an 8 to 12 mini for “free with qualifying trade-in.” They charge for the new one and give her a credit on the same bill. Keeps her as a customer and isn’t exactly like a subsidized device, but pretty close. Credit depends on condition of the device body and display. Her’s was perfect, aside from a non-functional home button, and they are giving her full credit.

As an aside, the 12 mini is more impressive than I would’ve thought. As a 12 Pro Max user I would be happy with the 12 mini too. The size is fantastic and the screen is larger than I thought it would be in a device that small. Battery life (no 5G service) is better than the 8 it replaced when it had a fresh battery. She loves it.

Interesting option. I wonder if I should trade in my X (that doesn't sound good, but I mean iPhone X). I use the X as my work phone and the iPhone Mini as my personal daily driver. Yep, the 12 Mini is a powerhouse, front pocket friendly, and in my larger hands fully one-hand useable. Maybe I will try the trade in next year and get an iPhone 13 for free.

I’d use Gazelle to trade in my old iPhone before buying a new once carriers stopped subsidizing devices and went to the 0% interest model. It wasn’t the best deal in terms of the cash you’d get but it was very convenient. Fill out the form, have a box shipped to you, erase your device, ship it back and get your cash. I went with the AT&T iPhone 12 financing deal Apple and AT&T were offering to AT&T customers who bought through Apple’s website this time around. Trade in any iPhone 6s or higher and get the iPhone 12 for a few bucks a month via a monthly bill credit if you stick with them for two years.

That wasn’t a problem for me because AT&T has been my carrier for almost 20 years now. I get a solid 5G signal in and around the area I live and in the places within the state I occasionally travel to that are a more rural I get very good LTE coverage so it’s been a good deal for me so far. I’m curious why Gazelle made the change. I thought their whole business model was make trading in old devices easy, make cash on the transaction, then refurb them if necessary and sell them at a profit. What will they be hawking now? Refurbished devices they buy from other sources?

I haven't used Gazelle in years, but did use them regularly once, and they were quick, reliable and never played games. Several times they upgraded the condition of the device I was trading in after receiving it. They didn't pay out the most, but I stuck with them after a couple bad experiences with other companies.

I'm on AT&T, since the iPhone 3, when I moved over from Sprint and a Palm Treo. I buy the phones directly from Apple. I was using the money directly back to apple so every year the phone only cost a couple hundred dollars.

They want to buy my iPhone 11 pro max 64gb in excellent condition for $385
