Gear 4 The Band - Review

The apple bumper certainly sets the standard for button feel in a case. I would compare the gear4 to the belkin vue which was the first case I had. Yep, it's quite a bit harder to press the buttons but not horrible. I've only had it on the phone a few hours. We'll see if they loosen up. Even if they don't I'll keep using it.

I've had the gear 4 band on my phone about 3 weeks now and have to admit I find the Power button particually hard to press. The volume buttons aren't so much of an issue.
I got the Apple bumper in the post this morning as part of the case program and the buttons on that are far far superior to that of the gear4. However the fit of the Apple bumper isn't quite as tight as the gear4.
Not sure which one I'll go with. I think I prefer the Apple one in general, it feels like it adds less bulk for some reason

seems like this 'button' issue happen to most of the casing out there.
Nice case Mario and cracking video. The case looks a lot better in your pics than on the site.

I got my pink/black today! I love it! The buttons are harder to press than the bumper, but if I had never had a bumper, I wouldn't even have noticed. My power button is really easy to press, it's the volume ones that I have to press harder, but I don't use them all that much.
Overall, I love the fit/look and I will probably buy a lime green one in a few weeks when I get tried of pink =)

After just a couple of days use I regret to inform that at least the black version does not wear very well. The softer rubber edging is showing major wear. I keep the phone in my cargo pants pockets and flat on a desk. The same usage scenario with the Apple bumper showed no such wear.
I'll see about taking pictures with my other camera later.

I'm surprised, my grey and white one still looks new, i use it with deep blue jeans, work trousers, cargo shorts and i put it on loads of surfaces, i was paranoid the grey rubber would show signs of colour transfer. Same with the pink one, still looks fresh, i've had to wipe some of the Mrs make up off it but thats it, after the same time the bumper seemed to soak up her make up and go a grey washed out colour.
On a side note my cf back and white logo has turned up, will try and get some pics up over the weekend once fitted
That sucks the black version doesn't wear well. I have the black/pink and it's thrown in and out of my purse all day long and still looks like new. This is by far my favorite case.
Here are a few pictures. I don't have my bumper with me but it does not show any wear like this on the soft parts. I used the bumper from late June through installing the Gear 4. This wear showed up on the Gear 4 in less than 4 days.
I'm going to send these to Gear 4 and see what they say.

^wow that does look pretty bad. I've had mine for over a week now and it's still good as new. Seems like certain cases have bad batches, like the candyshell. Some people get that crazy flaking with it, and others don't. I'd see about exchanging that.
I got mine last night! Bar eBay seller sending me 2 white/greys when I asked for one to be a black/grey its going great!
What I do is place the flat of my thumbs around a corner and push back gently until it comes off that edge. Once that happens it's pretty easy to pull off.
How are you guys taking the band of? Seems to be a struggle for me, and I end up having pull the band from the sides with my nail. That leaves a mark that just won't go. It seems over time, there will be nail marks all over it

Hey guys, I will receive my iPhone 4 tomorrow and I am thinking about getting the white/grey Band.
But I wonder if there might be any problems with the Band and a protective cover that I will also get tomorrow.
I mean is there any danger that the Band will somehow push the cover off or so?
