So I went a little nuts and ordered the buy 3 get 1 free from Gelaskins. All uploaded images.

I think it doesnt have any cover on side. you almost can see that from the pics.
You can put anything on the front. I bought 3+1 and don't intend to use the front decals at all. Just the back and sides. And maybe the wallpaper.
I called about the removal. It is a vinyl decal, and very nice from what I hear. A totally dry install with no residue when removed. Apparently you can remove it briefly if you need to reposition during install, but after you get it all on, you can't pull it off and switch back to it. Removal will distort it too much, and may not leave enough stick. So, as I said below. I guess the OP has stated that he has reused them.
I plan to put one and switch in a few months when I get bored and want one of the other designs. My original iPhone and 3G, so 3 years counting all I used was the bestskinsever, no case, just clear "naked" but protected. I though it would be fun to dress it up a little this time. I also don't intend to use a front skin. I only used a PowerSupport on my original iPhone and not at all on my 3G for two years and I don't see the point in it. Screen doesn't scratch in my experience. That and I don't want an orange peel feel from a skin on my screen. But there isn't any reason you couldn't.
It comes with sides, but the gallery shots don't show that. You will see that if you go to build your own. I will definitely post some of the ones I ordered when I get one on. But you can see it from their website. Also you will see if you build one, that it doesn't cover the top and bottom of the steel band. It does cover the black antenna strips.
The OP actually stated (just reread the first few posts), that he has removed and reused them. I assume removing very delicately. And using the original decal sheet to store them. That's great to hear. I would love to be able to swap them. Especially if they really do last so long, if you wait for it to wear out, you will be waiting a long time to change designs.
Actually the guy in that thread had a great idea. With a clear case like the Griffin Reveal and a printer, you can make your own skins and swap them out of the case whenever.

Thanks so much for the well written informative post. Answers my questions, I dont know why I didnt think to just not use the front decals at all + use a front shield like I planned. I was thinking the hard route, use the front decals, and cut part of shield so it fits. The reason I want a shield is it keeps the phone in mint condition and im always selling and upgrading....although like you said it does take away a bit from the screen but im fine with that.
Lastly to anyone who's had some receptions issues can you let us know if this skin helps at all? Of course their website says it helps but id like to hear from actual people who purchase

I'm super psyched about this. Here's a design I'll be ordering based on a wallpaper design by MR user anonymous6237 (which in turn is based on this wallpaper by ifreex).
The designer tool on gelaskin site makes the wallpaper in the preview. Problem is that I don't think you actually get that wallpaper unless it's already in their wallpaper gallery.
I received my Gelaskins today (the Cable Crane) and put the back on only. (Forgive me but I've tried to post pics but the files were deemed too large..advice?).
I like it...alot. However, I do not think I will be applying the front or side. Will be placing a black bumper and for now, do not have a shield of any sort for the front screen.
