LOL, I don't want to do that. Looks like it is indeed a design fail then. Since they gave me a new one, maybe I could return it and buy something else. But, I am pretty sure that is not possible :p.
 
mate, do you have any idea if consumer law only claimable in australia; bought my machine there and now i'm in the uk for my studies. keyboard having sticky issue, and my spacebar is stuck lol. i'm still on AppleCare until July though. Cheerio

Only claimable in Australia, unfortunately. But, you have AppleCare, they should be able to cover your MBP in UK.

Argh, sadness, thanks anyway! Now i realise a lot of my keys are not typing optimally. Thursday is so long.
 
Hi,

Just want to let you guys know. If you are experiencing such strange noise. Try to put your MBP under-load, and film the popping sound. For example, running games or pushing 4k videos on 2 displays. My advisor didnot check much, he watched the video and book my MBP for repair right away. Here is the estimated fixing cost. Hope this can help.

Im also experiencing display click (sound) when opening, and keyboard. :(

also greasing the hinges can solve the problem and it's much cheaper
