Lenox Mall

About 4pm an employee went down the line from the front and used an app, asking each person what model they wanted to purchase. The app would update to let people know if by the time it was their turn the model they wanted was sold out or not. I told her I wanted the 16GB 3G ATT white model. She said that it would most likely be sold out by the time it was my turn so I figured I would just get the black model. Well when the pandemonium started at 5pm, people were let in and then employees would take one person at a time to checkout. I asked for the white 16GB 3G ATT model and they still had it. I guess it really just depended on how quick it took you to order once you got in to beat out others ahead of you. It also could've been people just changing their minds when they got in.

So after waiting from 11:40am till 5pm at Lenox Mall, I triumphed in purchasing the 16GB 3G ATT white model with a black leather Smart Cover. Its absolutely beautiful. Congrats to those that got theirs and good luck to those that are still on the adventure.

At Lenox as I write. Hardly any line, but hardly any stock. Wifi and Verizon Black 64 gig only available stock.

I'm in line at the Lenox store now. They have not opened yet, but there are probably about 30 people already in line. They have 64GB Verizon models only in stock. Not sure if they are getting a shipment today or not or when it will come in. I have my MacBook with me, so I'm going to wait and get some work done.

Okay, so Lenox is NOT getting any in today. I'm at Perimeter now. Fedex just dropped off TWO iPads, both 16GB 3G versions that obviously got sold right away. They expect some from UPS, hopefully in the next hour, but have no idea. Probably 100 people in line.

Waited in line at Perimeter yesterday for almost 3 hours, ran out of tickets about 30 people ahead of us.

Went to Lenox this morning around 9. There were about 20 people ahead of us and they were already open and helping people. They were completely out of At&t which is what I originally wanted but they had Verizon and wifi left. 45 minutes later, I walked out with a Verizon 32 in Black. Very easy and fast. It wasn't my first choice but I will try it out and return it if I don't like it. They said they didn't know if they were going to get more in today but they might. There were about 50 people in line behind us and forming fast. They didn't seem concerned about running out soon but they were definitely out of certain models and white was out in many models. Good luck today if you haven't gotten one yet.

I left Lenox at about 11am, at that point there were about 15 iPad left according to staff, but there was only 3 people behind me in line when I got mine. All that were left were 64GB Verizon's in both black and white.

Still searching...

Looking for a 32 Gig ATT White. Stopped by ATT Northlake and their allocation was 6 (six!) ipads, which sold out in three minutes. Lenox ATT sold out and no idea when they are replensishing. And Target was just a shot in the dark. Most stores were not expecting their allocation until next week after some coordination snafus, according to a Manager. Seems like the Apple Stores and Best Buy were really your best bet, after all

Go to Microcenter. $50 off. I just got back from Marietta Microcenter. Since they did not get all they were supposed to yesterday, they have vouchers for $50 off various models. You have to put down a $25 deposit. I planned on getting a 32GB Black Wifi, but instead got a voucher for a 64GB Black Wifi. I figure it's only $50 for the upgrade, instead of $100. Plus, sales tax is less at that store.

How long is the voucher good for? I hadn't planned on upgrading anytime soon, but $50 off is intriguing. If voucher is good for a whle might be worth getting one (voucher) and sitting on it a couple months.

I went by the north point apple store around noon today and they were sold out - is anyone having luck in the atlanta area today?

Last I heard was that Lenox is opening early tomorrow morning. Not sure about Mall of Ga or any others.

Heads up for anyone looking for smart covers. Georgia Tech bookstore has a half dozen or so each of the pink, grey, green, and navy. Also saw three of the new digital adapters on the shelf.

Mall of Georgia

My friend works at Mall of Georgia gonna text him and see.

Called Lenox store about 10 minutes ago. They said there were no ipads shipped to the store yet. They will open at 9am if they get the ipads before 9am.

I called Mall of Ga around 830 and they said they are opening at 9. The only store that isn't opening for sure is North point and Lennox said to call in the morning.

What is everyones plan? I'm thinking about just going to Lenox at about 7 and just waiting and if they have them they have them, if not they don't. It would've been two hours wasted sleeping.

I went to Perimeter last Saturday & the line was significantly shorter. They had ropes all the way to the entrance of Nordstroms, but the line didn't even go to those massage chair guys. They had limited inventory, but people were walking out with iPads & I didn't see them turning anyone away. I had my wife & kids with me, so I didn't even try to stand in line, but I think I will try again later this week during the middle of a work day.

I'm at Lenox now and there is about 20 people here already and two workers in store scanning stuff.

Perimeter

Last night around 8:30PM a MAC employee at Apple told me (in person) that they would be receiving iPad 2's this morning and to be in line before the store opened. Got there at 8AM in case they opened at nine, not many people in line, though it got longer. Around 9am an employee came out to say they didn't have any and didn't know when they would receive any. Very disappointing as the only reason I went is the Apple employee said they would definitely be there.

Same thing happened to me this morning.

Lenox's shipment will be here in 30 minutes or less and they will inform us of the number if they get any.

How many people are still in line at Lenox? Wondering if it is worth driving over from Vinings to get a 16GB Wi-Fi model.
