Gestures ipad1 no jailbreak

if this can be done for gestures and mirroring, is there any reason this can't be done to disable exchange security??? I don't necessarily want to jailbreak, since that's the only mod I need.

Thanks for this thread. I gave it a try and everything seems to me working so far. Havent tried mirroring yet.

So - I'm curious for those more knowledgeable than I....I installed the "hack" on my iPad (and actually on 3 others for folks). Just read that Apple will be turning Gestures back on with a Patch in the upcoming weeks. Will the Over the Air Update work on these iPads with the "Hack" and will there be anything that needs to be done - or it'll just take over and the Gestures will still be there but official this time?

Well, the OTA for Gestures just dropped, and my iPad won't update to it. I'm about to try through iTunes. Wondering if the fact that it won't is related to this hack. I'm assuming that's the case.

I did the same hack, and OTA will not work on my iPad. I am downloading the update through iTunes, but it's taking a while. Were you successful updating through iTunes?

The iTunes update worked just fine. HOWEVER, I just realized I hosed myself because after the update I have Multi-Touch Gestures but I can't Mirror. :-(

thanks for confirming...I tried to turn off multi gestures, but OTA still doesn't work. So it's 771 wasted megabytes for me...

I totally didn't give it a second thought until it was too late. Now I wait and hope some Developer will come along and rescue me again. I really liked having the mirroring without the need for a full blown Jailbreak. Wonder if they will be able to update this package and if they will?

OTA failed here too. iTunes full upgrade did the trick though. Tool almost an hour to download the full ipsw though.

Now to see how much I miss mirroring!

I am still holding out. Although the gestures are most important to me but I'd still like to keep the option to mirror. Has anyone seen any progress on this yet?

So is there anyway to enable native mirroring again on an iPad 1 with 5.0.1 jail broken? I realize DisplayOut is an option in cydia but I would prefer native mirroring. Thanks.
