So apparently starting on 8/13 I'll have the $10 off loyalty promo... I told Verizon that I was leaving because my bill was too high and they said I could go down to 3GBs of data plus get the 1GB loyalty program for a year. The rep also stated that it would not extend my contract. Thank goodness. Well see how it works out when I actually start using my phone when I go back to the US in mid August.

Loyalty Credit is added instantly.. I don't know how you would get it next month.. makes no sence.

If the rep added it for you you can view it in MY-Verizon.

Probably just going to be as of the next billing cycle or something like that.

If I have a 10gb family plan and I'm off contract (month-2-month), already getting the $25 off per line, does this loyalty credit of $10 per month stack on top of that? So i get $35 off per line?

I have 5 lines, so that would get me $175 off per month!!

Anyone know if these two discounts stack?

The $10 loyalty credit is for lines that are or would go back being on contract for a year. Those lines wouldn't qualify for the out of contract discount therefore.

I can't view anything now since my account is suspended, he also said I had to tweet him back, not sure how that's going to work but I'm going to give it a try.

Yeah, the end of my billing cycle is 13 Aug.

I was told this promotion was only for customers with less than 12 months on their current contract. I wasn't eligible

Yeah, I originally had 4 months on my contract but since I had to suspend it, I now have 7 months...

No way.

You already get 25$ per line..

All you can get is the 1GB data promo that would make it 11GB for you.

That is incorrect seems like you got a bad rep.

My lines had over 1 year like 1yr 4 months when I first got it (4 lines have the promo out of 6)

I requested the loyalty discount last night and got it for all 4 lines. Looking forward to the $40 off my bill each month. Kind of makes up for the mystery data that I supposedly use each month resulting in overage charges. #

Enjoy and well in my opinion there is no mystery data overages :p I always watch my data so I know what is up :)

and did you extend your contracts with it or you were little over a year ? if yes then nothing changed.

I did this this morning and the rep did say both the 1gb data and $10 will be applied this period, but the 1gb free data is the only thing showing in my promotions so far. Does the Loyalty Credit of $10 reflect on My Verizon right away?

Here is the 1GB data promotion I posted a while back:

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1708267/

Now here is the Loyalty 10$ OFF "PER LINE" make sure to read carefully if it's confusing ask questions!

Hey guys. [ I do not work for VZW just sharing what I found they offer. ]

Verizon Wireless has a 10$ Loyalty Credit Promo.

As far as I know this is their way of keeping us customers :)

So if you are unhappy or something then call them up why not?:woot:

Here is how it works:

1) Must have Share Everything
2) Must have contract

Example: if you got yourself a new shiny Galaxy S5 or any other phone for example today:
today is 7/11/2014:

this promotion will not extend your contract because it already ends on 7/11/2016.

But! if your contract ends in 7/11/2014 , it will extend it by 1 YEAR.

BUT BUT! if your contracts ENDS on 7/12/2015 <<< IT WILL NOT EXTEND YOUR CONTRACT.

if it's just a little more then a year on your contract already it will not AFFECT your contract END DATE.

3) Let's say you have 5 contract lines, guess what you can get up to 50$ off for 12 months!
if you have 10 lines that's 100$ !

I myself love this promotion it shows that they are not sooo soo greedy.. I mean they are but just little less :eek:mg:

LOYALTY CREDIT: 10X12MOS 1YR

^^ this is how it shows on your bill / or my Verizon.

When I told about it to one of my friends he has 5 contract lines , he gets 10$ off x 5 on all his 5 contract lines for 12 months.

Let me know your success stories!

PS. this is per line promo not per account so it works along with 1GB data for 1 Year Free

CDM mentioned something I forgot to add: EVEN IF you decide to take discount for all your lines that have less then 1 year left meaning extension IT WILL NOT CHANGE UPGRADE DATE. ONLY CONTRACT END DATE

You might not actually see it appear until your next bill.

Not sure if anyone else has been told this, but a seemingly knowledgeable rep just told me that the 10x12 discount only applies until you upgrade. So if you sign up for this discount and extend your contract (but not your upgrade date) and then upgrade in, say, October or whenever the iPhone 6 is available, it will wipe out your discount when you upgrade.

This is exactly what the rep told me.

This seemed like a pretty smart way for Verizon to retain customers through the massive iPhone 6 upgrade/carrier switch period, but I guess not.

I was actually just told by a third rep that the discount runs 12 months no matter what. Who knows? I'll just go for it and see what happens. Gotta love CS reps...

I am not sure if I completely understand the Loyalty Credit. Does it apply if you are no longer under contract but going to be signing a 2 year contract? We have old phones and have been month to month for a while but are going to purchase new iphones under a 2 year contract. Looking to take advantage of the Loyalty credit if we can, as well as the additional 1G of data.

How do we go about getting this $10 off per line promo applied?

Edit: Nevermind, looks like it's been replaced by the free gb for 2 years promo.

I used to work for Verizon in a Call Center last year and think I know why some reps might be confused about the "Loyalty credit." When I worked there, we had these particular plans and promotions that were not advertised. Instead, they could be offered in the event that a customer was unhappy, or talking about disconnecting. For example, we could offer someone an additional 250 minutes per month as a promo if they were on an older plan and went over their minutes. These promos were not actively offered for several reasons.

1.) Many of them had a lot of requirements that needed to be met to be offered. These requirements range from being upgrade eligible, in a contract, out of a contract, customers not receiving a discount through work, customers upgrading from 3g to 4g, etc, etc. These are just examples and don't necessarily apply to the current promo in this thread.

2.) Reps have a certain threshold in many different matrixes that they must meet in order to meet performance expectations. For example, if the reps amount of credit given exceeds $X average per call, they can be negatively impacted.

This is why simply asking for the "Loyalty Credit" may confuse the representative. This info is supposed to be kept internally and typically travels by word of mouth causing the person receiving the credit to tell others. I'm not saying I'm condoning just calling up and pretending you're unhappy with the cost and are considering leaving just to get the credit applied to your bill, but that's the natural progression of how that particular credit would be offered.

I've actually had one rep who told me that I can just call in every few months and ask what promotions or loyalty offers I might be qualified for (this was after I talked to that rep about the $10/off loyalty credit mentioned in this thread and the rep was able to apply it to my lines).
