Amazon and Best Buy this week have all-time low prices on the Apple Watch Series 11, with $100 discounts across numerous models of the smartwatch. These discounts beat the Black Friday prices we saw last month by about $30.

This has been the going discount since the first week of December. First they were $50 off prior to US Thanksgiving, then $60 off during Black Friday, up to $70 off the following Monday, and finally $100 off, a similar discount to the now discontinued Series 10. Makes me wonder if they haven't been selling as well given the minor upgrades year over year.

Unless you’re having battery issues, there is almost no reason to upgrade, and the market seems pretty saturated. 🤷🏻‍♂️

As someone who runs multiple Apple Watches, I have explored upgrading my green Series 7 (worn as a change of pace/look) to a Jet Black Series 10 or Series 11. I almost pulled the trigger on the Series 11 Amazon deal. However, the issue is that it would come with a band (black sport band) that I don't want, and I continue to think the Series 7 green looks better than the jet black color. Plus, the watch still works perfectly on the latest OS. Still tracks my workouts, sleep, and provides notifications the same way as a Series 11 would. It does lack some of the nice to have features (mainly faster Siri), but those aren't really necessary. Keeping the Series 7 for another year at least (or maybe I can get a Series 11 next year for like $200 or something).

100%. I was shopping the 11 this year because their current series 6 is end of life, the finish is wearing off, and will not get watchOS updates after this year so it was time to upgrade. I don’t expect the series 11 I purchased to need to be upgraded again until the series 16 when the current one similarly reaches end of life.

My brother and his wife just upgraded their series 6 because of battery issues, and went with the SE 3.

I’ve finally gotten used to the weight and size of the ultra, and am happy to have almost 3 days of battery. I do love how the 11 feels like you’ve got nothing on your wrist, though.

For the series 12, can they make the small one be 44mm and the big one be 48mm? The 42mm is too small. Also, can we get more third party app developers to make watchos apps that reside fully on the watch? Too many times, an all will ask to open the app on the phone first, but this takes away from the reason for the watch in the first place, to get away from the phone. So it'd be nice if more watchos apps were untethered from the phone completely.

Also, could we get app folders on the home screen? Thank you

The hard and arduous journey of pulling it out of your pocket. They do make iPhone armbands for runners.
I’ve been trying to go the other way; all watch/no phone. Liberating to not have to carry-handle-track the slab. Bonus points for less distractions. YMMV.
