Lol. Why? I play music and if I need it for emergency I have it. It has a watch timer too.

I like being disconnected. I mostly trail run and 90% of my runs are in a big local state park or a national forest, both of which have zero cell reception.

My watch has music, for the rare times I listen while running.

Watch timer? What are you talking about?

The timer in the watch app for interval training.

Also if I want to grab a Jamba or something after a run, Apple Pay.

An Apple Watch w/cellular will give you all those things. If you’re running in a remote area the Apple Watch Ultra 3 has cellular & satellite for emergencies as well. It’s nice to be able to to be freed from your iPhone from time to time. I love that if I forget my iPhone I no longer panic because I have a cellular Apple Watch.

You in San Fran, John? I’m in South Bay.

I’ll add that I don’t pay for cellular plan or a music service. I download/sync maps to the watch. If I get lost, I can use the backtrack feature in the compass app. And for music, I use an app called Watch player for playing my collection of mp3s (if you need new music, you can use any of the numerous websites that can strip audio from a YouTube video, albeit at lower quality).

Yup, I’m in the city. I like the cellular service as it makes leaving the home without my iPhone a non issue, plus I’m able to transfer my playlist (ripped from CDs I’ve owned) onto the watch with just the native iOS & watchOS. I’m super picky about the songs I like so streaming has never tempted me. 👍🏻
