I bought these at Costco during the last sale timed with Prime Day. I like the look and sound, and I could live with the low volume and seriously subpar noise cancelling, but they were so uncomfortable that I only wore them for 3 of my recent 6-hour flight. I’m returning them and getting the Bose QC45 at Costco, which is currently the same price I paid for the Beats.

Well this warms the cockles of my heart for the holidays...I bought a pair on Amazon two weeks ago...at full price. Bah Humbug!
Return the Amazon ones and get these. Already threw out the packaging? Buy these and return them directly to Amazon still wrapped.👍Then you get the headphones and the discount.

I have a pair of these; they are uncomfortable on my head for people that wear glasses.
That's what I remember when they were on sale at Walmart and I decided to try them. They were "reasonably" comfortable except when I wanted to wear my glasses - like when watching a movie and didn't want to disturb other's in the house. With the glasses on they weren't comfortable at all.

Question for those who have used these before. I seem to remember that Beats in general - and these specifically - had a bass sound that would overwhelm the highs and mid-tones. Are the Beats products - again these specifically - still like that? Thanks.

I recently purchased these. I buy too many headphones. Early Beats were a bassy muddy mess. Starting with the Beats Solo Pro, the sound became more balance around 2019. Beats hasn’t came out with any headphones since then, mostly wireless ear buds, which also sound much more balance. These still emphasize lows and highs, but nothing too overwhelming. I find them sounding fun and energetic, not good for someone who wants to use for accuracy or critical listening. I wouldn’t recommend for retail price but at this price I think it’s a good buy. Costco has it for the same price, but it includes Apple Care+ and that’s what sold me as I will be using this at the gym.

Asking just because, are these in anyways better than Bose or Sony? It’s not cheap by any means, I mean this one is marked down from $350. I certainly won’t consider that cheap.

I can think of at least couple other brand with the same price range before I event consider beats, even at this marked down price.
I recent purchase these for the gym. I own AirPods Max and tried Bose QC35, Bose Headphone 700, Sennheiser Momentum 3 and Sony XM4. I ended up going with AirPods Max when I tried the others. The prices with Apple Care+ if purchase at Costco is a really good deal. You’re looking at $350+ for the other competitors. AirPods Max, Sony XM4, Bose has better noise cancelling, these are a step below. AirPods Max has the best transparency mode, these are second. Sony and Bose sound robotic to me. AirPods Max has the best sound quality, I like these second best, but sound is preference. As far as style, most would agree Beats is a fashion statement while Sony and Bose is more business professional look. For the price I would recommend these. If money isn’t a concern AirPods Max.

are these worth buying for an eleven-year-old? better than loaning out my nice sony's and or bose headphones?
I saw Walmart is having the older version of these - Beats Studio 3 for $99 starting 11/22/2023. That might be the purchase you’re after. Beats look way better than Sony in most people’s opinion. Looking cool is important for the younger crowd. They look the same, just micro usb charging instead of USB-C, sound quality and active noise cancelling isn’t as good on the older one. No transparency mode or Spatial Audio as well, but I doubt your 11 year old would notice.

The color palette along with the lack of the W1 or H1 chip make it a very easy decision not to buy it.
What makes this stand out against all the other ANC headphones?

Thanks. I might check out AirPod max when I get the chance. Thanks.

Walmart and Costco has the Beats Studio 3 for $99 or Costco has the Bose QC45 SE for $180. Lots of good deals. Hard to recommend the AirPods Max now as they are still going for around $450 and sounds like a new one will be coming out sometime next year even though I really enjoy using them.
