Get Bing Copilot on macOS

Hi there! I’ve been searching everywhere for a good, simple menu bar app that would enable me to access Bing Copilot directly from my MacBook Pro. I found a couple but they were buggy or didn’t work well enough.

Thanks for this. I bought this, but unfortunately, it can't run on Monterey. I should check it more careful before buy. Anyway, it seems, this is good product!
 
I uploaded a new version of the app on Gumroad. It is now compatible with macOS 11+. It should now run on Monterey.

Added the ability to open clicked links in the default system browser.

Generally speaking, uploading the released files (zip, dmg, pkg) to VirusTotal can help a developer identify any component that might be falsely reported as malware by security software.
Example: some components of CrossOver-23.5.0 are falsely reported as Windows trojans https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file...9a8761f8e1a6d8b3d000f921465d1257347/detection

Also, by uploading them yourself, you trigger the scanning and the users that might do the same are presented instantly with the result. Besides the malware scan, VT also provides an easy way for users to see that the file is signed with a valid Apple signature, besides yours :)

Is there a technical reason why the app is arm64 only?

Nope. That’s what Xcode defaulted to. I’ll change it for the next release. Does this mean that Intel Mac users won’t be able to run it at all?

It’s working on Intel macOS Monterey 12.7.1 (21G920)

You should consider adding a way to quit the app, like ⌘Q

Trying to change the settings for the language/country in the app opens the default browser.

You may want to avoid upsetting Microsoft :)

Errrr... Universal. Perhaps this word does not mean what you think it means 😆. Just downloaded, but "You can’t open the application “TurboMacBing” because this application is not supported on this Mac." I run a 2019 Intel MBP with OS 14.1 Should I redownload later, when the Universal is posted?

Yep. The only other time I got this alert was some podunk MIDI driver that could loopback internal audio to an INPUT that could be recorded at full resolution. Totally could have been used to pirate music, so I always wondered if that was merely just an RIAA takedown.

Apple won't volunteer if Gatekeeper got angry, or Microsoft did a IP takedown, or some mundane licensing issue, such as regionalization.

I'm not the most sophisticated threat hunter 🥴, but I ran this app on a lab machine in a sandbox for a while, didn't notice any overt threats - at least not beyond normal Bing in a browser. I didn't interrogate the Mac Gatekeeper to see if it left any logs. Sort of a non-issue, though; the normal Bingy AI bits started behaving in Safari.
