Waiting for Xfinity Mobile to post any deals when the iPhone 14 models come out.
It already reduced its remaining iPhone 13 models by $100.

Anyone know if Apple's trade-in offer is good only for Pre-orders or will it least for awhile?
Apple is offering $600 for the iPhone
13 Pro. Considering that Xfinity Mobile offered $300 deal when the 13 Pro was released, the net price was $700 so getting $600 trade in back is very good towards the 14 models.

Hesitant because of the eSim only functionality on the 14 models so maybe just get the 13 PM model instead and keep it for a few years.

I saw that too and got very excited and was ready to switch and when I did it actually makes you switch all of the plans to that. So for older folks like my parents and in-laws you are under my plan their $30 a month unlimited starter would go to 45. Pretty crappy
and you give up the disney+ bundle.

T-Mobile sucks for treating their most longtime customers this way. I don't want the magenta max, plus, ultra, or even mini. Reward me for being loyal. Like in the un-carrier days.
Disagree. I am not on those plans, and T-mobile always gives me a similar deal. With the iPhone 12, they even gave me an extra $200 for being a long time customer. It’s to be expected that my grandfathered plan paying them significantly less each month doesn’t get exactly the same deal, but they still take amazing care of their customers regardless.

I am a T-Mobile customer and I have the Magenta Max plan so I am seriously considering thir offer. 24 months is a lot better than 36 months for the credit and if I wanted to pay it off myself sooner next year I can do that. I would still get a couple hundred more than I would just with a trade in directly. Even if i paid if off in the first year, it is money on the table.

IMO 24 month window is a good upgrade peroid as the year over year iPhone changes are generally smaller than after 2-3 years.

Macrumors you can update your post with these details. I got them via the apple store app when setting up preorder: Verizon you get up to $800 on One Unlimited, Do More, Play More, and Get More plans. This is a combination of instant trade-in plus a 36 month credit. On Start Unlimited you get $400 which is also a combination of trade-in and plan discount. You get no promotion for Welcome Unlimited. Go with Apple trade-in offer for that.

It's actually a combination.

For the 12 Pro it's $800 but, $425 in instant credit (deducted from the new phone price), and $375 in bill credits put on over 36 months

So, assuming you're going for 14 Pro 128 (before tax), you'd pay 999-425. = 574 (plus taxes, etc), and then the 375 bill credits over 36 months
Hmm, it seems to vary as this is what I'm seeing on Apple's site for trading in a 13 Pro (no instant, all credit applied over the 36 months). Still don't understand how that's $399 total, though as $5.52 x 36 is closer to the $199 which would make sense given it's $999 - $800

Over at Verizon, looks like they may be offering up to $1000 - hopefully details will be available today (including whether early upgrade after 1y of payments qualifies for trade-in/promo)

Can you upgrade 2 ATT lines thru Apple store app? I currently only see the option to upgrade my own phone line, and not my family members line.

This recap is useless without stating the # of months that the bill credits are distributed over.

There is a huge difference between 24 months vs 36 months, because the bill credits are applied only when the payment plan for the iPhone 14 is still active.

IE. You'll only get the credit as long as you continue to pay us for the phone.
36 months with AT&T. To hell with that, I'll just finance through Apple for 24 months. AT&T SIM locks (or eSIM locks?) their phones as well until it's completely paid off, forcing me to use their roaming plan when overseas.

Same, but it turns out my 12 mini doesn’t qualify for the full $1000. Still $800, which isn’t bad, but not as tempting. Their trade in values are weird: an 11 pro gets $1000, but a regular 13 gets $800.

Where are they seeing the T-Mobile BOGO deal? I don't see that offer anywhere on their website. Was planning on getting two 14 Pros tomorrow with my fiancé and we're on the same T-Mobile plan so curious to see that offer...

What about other carriers? We switched to Xfinity Mobile in February and cut our Verizon bill almost in half. Xfinity Mobile also uses the Verizon network. So far it has been a good experience. However, I have not seen any specials posted from them and right now they are not offering the 14 for pre-sale.

and you give up the disney+ bundle.
Yup I was gonna switch my sons line $5 more but a savings from the iCloud and apple music additions for the other lines but not worth the cost of increasing other lines and not worth losing that Disney+ bundle

These carrier "deals" are a fancy way of having you pay the full cost of the phone in the form of high monthly plan costs, while locking you into a certain carrier for 2+ years. I will always just pay in full for the phone and use an MVNO carrier. It's nice to be able to switch carriers on a whim if I feel mistreated.

On apples website, it shows the offers Verizon is offering. up to $800 in trade in credit that is paid for over 36 months with bill credits. It showed me I was eligible for that when trading an Xr or a 12 if I decide to upgrade this year.

what is the least expensive Verizon monthly plan required to get the $800 trade-in value for XR or 12?

Thanks!

Their trade in values are weird: an 11 pro gets $1000, but a regular 13 gets $800.

Is that what they told you or did you read it somewhere? Those numbers go against typical T-Mobile promotional trade-in values i.e., the inflated trade value for a 13 would be at least as high as an 11 Pro.

Unless I misunderstood what I read last night, the Verizon deals suck for my situation. First, the bill credits go for 36 months. Second, you have to sign up for a plan that is $10 to $20 more per line/phone per month. We have four phones.
Nope you read right. I looked at small print on their page and they only give the 36 month bill credit “free” phone if you are on their newest kinds of plans.

Families on older plans get nothing, and I’m in the same boat you are where I’d have to pay more money monthly to get this “deal” which would make the end the same price as buying phone direct from Apple.

Pass. Again.

Are these carrier deals available if you purchase & trade in at the Apple Store or does one have to go directly through the carrier?

I have a legacy unlimited Sprint plan. I thought I saw that certain Sprint plans would be eligible for this. If not, I wonder if the T-Mobile deal works with the First Responder Magenta Max plans? That would be a good deal for me if so as I’d switch to that plan.

Been using Total Wireless for a few years now. It's worked just fine and is only $50/mo for both my wife and me (via a family plane with our daughter and son-in-law) Buuuut they don't offer esim plans. Grrrr. Anyone know of a good esim (U.S.) carrier/plan for not a lotta $s?

Alright, looks like up to $1000 for trade-in on new lines and $800 for existing:
