See, when was it that discussion of natural bodily functions was deemed "disgusting?" The OP was somewhat ashamed of his current condition but the frank and open discussion in this thread has not only given him an appropriate course of action but set his mind at ease that whilst he might feel all alone in riding the porcelain bronco he's not the first and he won't be the last.

Toughen up, there are far worse things than poo in this world.

Chundles is right on this one. Some prefer not hearing about difficulties in the turd world.

P.S. Have you been to the doctor, yet?

In the field of home remedies, for more minor cases, try nutmeg. If you mix it 50-50 with sugar, it's reasonably palatable, then take two teaspoonfuls of it. My great-grandmother used to say "It'll put a cork in you!" I've used it in place of store-bought medicines for most of my life.

I hope you're feeling better!

i cant figure out how to quote.
anyways...it's fine in the OP's case - he is in need of help. but others talking about their experiences with it and it spraying the doctor is taking it a LITTLE too far. come on now.

You chose to read it. It is your fault if you dont like it, they are sharing their personal information to try and help him etc.

some prefer to not click on those threads, or, if clicked, to click BACK and immediately stop reading.

others prefer to comment, where they wouldnt have before because perhaps they find their own body functions EVIL!

You need to drink an electrolyte solution ASAP.

Electrolyte imbalance/deficiency can cause death, and you are losing both liquid and electrolytes with diarrhea. Your clear sparkly water won't do much to prevent this.

Go to a 24 hr Walgreen's ASAP and ask for electrolyte solution, and buy a lot of it (they're usually orange, purple, and other artificially flavored drinks that come in bottles).

Drink both water and A LOT of this stuff to prevent dehydration. Dehydration is not just lack of fluids, it's also a critical lack of electrolytes, mostly caused by diarrhea and/or vomiting.

Over-the-counter diarrhea meds should take care of your diarrhea, but getting your electrolyte levels back up is critical. Good luck!

At least we weren't given pictures, for show and tell.

Immodium...however if it does not stop go and see a doctor. And as others have said keep up the liquids I'm not sure if you guys have salvital over there but thats good stuff to drink. Water will not be enough I dont' think.

If you can't find them anywhere else, electrolytes can be gotten from packets of Emergen-Cee. Just stay away from the lemon-lime flavor. Yuck. Cranberry is much better tasting.

I keep a box of those guys at home, and take them with me when I go hiking or other places where dyhydration is a concern.
