It's a hidden/invisible file because of the '.'
In iFile's Preferences, enable 'Hidden Files', and you'll see the file.

Ahh there we go! Thank you so much. I just deleted it.

Lol, I got the 4s because of the hardware, not Siri (which is useless in my opinion)..well I wont say useless, I mainly use Siri to ask stupid questions to see what responses I get and setup reminders etc. If I had an iPhone 4 I def wouldn't pay 20 bucks and go through the trouble of setting it up. But that's just me lol

To me, it was definitely worth it to pay the $20. Siri is one of those things that you have to get into the habit of using. I actually use all the time. Reminders, to tell me when my next work shift is, to check stocks. And the siri tweaks in cydia make it 100x more useful.

No prob, but I'm 99% sure that the file you mentioned is the one he's referring to. I'll post his response as soon as i get it.

Thanks. I found the .support.plist with iFile, Cyberduck didn't show it even after enabling hidden files. Is this file only related to AssistantExtensions? I renamed it for now to make sure things work smoothly. Thanks for the help.

Just deleted it and all seems to be working well for me! :D:D:D
However it's too early to tell whether i still see the ad or not, since it appeared pretty rarely.

Maybe you should pay Apple, the people who actually made the software, then. Instead of stealing it from people who rightfully paid for it.

People like you give jailbreakers a bad name.

Maybe Apple should make a way for me to pay for it and get it on my phone, which i would gladly do. How am i stealing anything from you? Did your siri suddenly stop working when i installed mine? Things like this are the reason why people jailbreak, and i've been supporting the jailbreak community. $20 to imdzl, sent a tip to the assistant extensions dev, paid $2 for speak events. I am what the jailbreak community is all about. So cry me a river, i don't feel bad. I should also add that i've helped 4 of my co-workers install siri, so I'm spreading the gospel. People like you are funny because i've never met anyone like you in real life.

Edit: And how immature can you possibly be downrating all my posts trying to help people?

Not down voting anything, people don't like what you're saying.

You are STEALING SOFTWARE. Some dude just raked in $20 from you. He didn't make it. You are STEALING SOMETHING FROM APPLE, OF ALL COMPANIES. Because of people like you, they are going to continue trying to shut down jail breaking. People like you hurt our community.

I dunno, Siri is in beta. Maybe my Siri doesn't work on 3G all the time because of jerks like you.

Sucks for you, mine works great on wifi and 3G! And I'm not stealing anything, if i were it would be considered piracy and the mods would have shut down all threads related to Spire, but they didn't. They're gonna keep trying to shut down our "community" no matter what, has nothing to do with people installing siri on their phones lol. Get off your high horse. Only the cyber saints disagree with what I'm saying, luckily people in the real world don't.

"Some dude"? you mean the iMZDL team? They're a huge contributing member of the jailbreak community, and i gladly gave them $20 to use their siri proxy server, which they keep stocked with genuine 4S tokens. Also, i didn't steal the software, it downloaded straight from apple's servers, their own fault. Nothing illegal or immoral about it. Also, spire wouldn't even me in cydia automatically if it were illegal/pirating, but seeing how i didn't have to add any sources to download it, it's fully legit.

Apple simply left an exploit open which allowed spire to downed the siri programme for the iPhone 4.

I have yet to read a credible argument for the reason why apple decided to not let older idevices have the siri programme !

We all know siri was tested out and developed on the iPhone 4.

The only part of the function i can see that does not operate on the iPhone 4 is the "raise to speak", as the 4 sensor does not continually fire like the 4s. With jb tweaks this is easily got around.

If apple were not so bull headed about siri and allowed its usage via the next iOS or paid upgrade etc ,then all these outside companies would not be able to take this slice of pie.

Are we all ignorant enough not to think apple don't have jailbroken idevices to look at and use cydia tweaks. Where do you think they got the notification screen from. Is this them stealing from the jailbreak community.

I pay for my tweaks.
I paid for a siri proxy.

I wanted siri because apple said i couldn't and i do find it useful !

I jail broke because of the limitations apple put upon there awesome devices.

I paid outright for my iPhone so its mine to do with what i like.

Ethics is open to interpretation !

I found/deleted it w cyberduck. Show hidden files and it was at the very top.

But anyways, glad the ad is gone.. easy fix! thanks

People've had Siri before the 4S anyway. Even the iPod touch 4G had it. When iOS 5 came, everyone who updated had Siri.

thanks so much!!

Update: Problem solved! I emailed the developer of SpeakEvents and this was his response...

Hello,
this ad is served by AssistantExtensions. If fact I wanted it to show only once a day and only on 2.3.2012. The problem is that even if it is remotely disabled, it shows when you open Siri in less than 30 seconds since respring and I am very sorry for that. :( AE update will fix it (I will remove ad support entirely).

To fix it now at your side, you can remove this file:
/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/.support.plist

Sorry for inconvenience.

We hope this answered your questions.
If not, please reply to this email.

This was bothering me sooo much!! Thanks! much appreciated!
