i bought PVZ 😀 my FAVORITE game!!!!! looks freaking amazing in HD on the ipad . im in love with this thing!!! i REALLY REALLY need a screen protector though and case :/

I'd highly HIGHLY recommend getting a Skinomi over Zagg's InvisibleShield or BestSkinsEver. I've tried all three I've listed above. For the 3 days that I had my iPad naked without a skin, I acquired a nice fairly sized scratch on the aluminum back, just under the Apple logo.

I had the regular Zagg InvisibleShield on my iPad 1 and was really happy with it, but then I bought the anti-glare Zagg InvisibleShield and had it put on my iPad 2, and it is absolutely horrific.

I like the feel of the texture of the anti-glare style and the fact that it prevents smudges and fingerprints, but it emphasizes every one of the multicolor pixels on the screen, turning the screen into a rainbow of colors. It's awful.

It may make it easier to read in bright sunlight, but now it's more difficult to read in regular lighting.

Many people complain about the "orange peel" feel of the regular Zagg InvisibleShield, but that I actually liked.

@ OP Whatever you do, don't get the antiglare Zagg InvisibleShield, and if you get the regular InvisibleShield, I highly recommend buying at a retail store such as Best Buy and having them put it on for you.

The Zagg InvisibleShield requires a "wet" installation, and the fluid they give you in that kit is no where near enough for proper installation, and you will probably only get annoyed and extremely frustrated if you try doing it yourself
anyway.

Netflix and HBOgo should be on the list of "must have apps" too!

True, providing you have or want to pay the monthly subscription fee for NetFlix.

For HBOgo, well, you not already need to already have a preexisting subscription to HBO with your cable provider, but HBOgo is only available for a select few cable companies.

My cable company is WOW (Wide Open West) and although my cable package does include HBO, HBOgo isn't available for WOW subscribers, at least not yet.

Infinity Blade
Order and Chaos
DeathRally (think that's the name)
FishTales (for casual)
I could go on...what types of games do you like?

All the Apple apps are solid depending on what you plan on doing.

Get Dropbox. I have found it to be an invaluable tool for accessing all my files from all my main devices (iPhone 4, iPad 2, Windows 7 PC at my house). Removes the hassle of having to physically move all these files around and you get up to 2 GB of storage for free.

Agree with your point on Netflix.

Sorry WOW doesn't offer HBOgo to you, it really is a very nice app. I figured it would be an "ok" app, but after using it, I'm very impressed. Quite a library of shows and movies available.

Everyone I know who is able to use HBOgo is very impressed with it. Which is exactly why I wanted it too, and believe me, I tried.

Our cable company's position is that we have "HBO on demand". Yes, but that's only on our TV, and from what I've heard, HBOgo also offers a better, and more extensive, selection.

Netflix and Hulu+ are well worth the money.
I cancelled my cable tv last year, and dont miss it at all.
I picked up a Boxee box.
And between that and all the available online channels, I'm finding it was well worth the $120 a month I ended up saving.

I did the same a few months ago--cancelled cable and got 2 Roku boxes. We LOVE them. We subscribe to Hulu+ and Netflix and the best thing about that is being able to carry it over to my iPhone and iPad. Hulu+ has excellent streaming quality on both devices as well as on a normal TV (I dare say it's better than Netflix as far as the HD quality).
