He already posted that it was a mistake and was a 4S that was shipped to him.
Edited: Oops, I am mixing threads so no OP hasn't responded. Others have been shipped the 4S though.

Oh, oops. And he ordered from Apple. There were a few Verizon people who got the 4S by accident today.
The 16 GB phones have been in Nashville (UPS hub) since who knows when. This is why they were the last to become trackable and why Nashville is shown as the point of origin. The 32 and 64 GB phones shipped from China this week.
NO. the carrier sold devices are already in the US mostly in Tenn and Indiana. Apple has been making them for six weeks.

Provider shipped units aremostly in the US already and already owned by the providers not Apple, they aren't going to be in much trouble for having them delivered on Thurs
Boy, think of how pissed/disappointed you would be if you opened the box expecting an iPhone 5, and instead there was an iPhone 4/4S ...

What's so sad about this is that it means people have gone past just refreshing the UPS website and have now started repeatedly calling UPS to ask dumb questions.

I got really excited yesterday when I saw a train with a crap ton of fed ex boxes rolling through town but then I saw that most of the shipments hadn't even got to the US at that time.

They are posting these notices because there are needy people clogging up their phone and chat support asking these questions.
From what I've read, both UPS and FedEx are the primary shippers, so when I saw a train with about 10 or 15 FedEx box cars, I thought it was a bunch of iPhones being shipped to a hub somewhere.

Interesting....Where are you guys seeing this on the UPS site? Mine is in Louisville as of 12:07am central time and it probably ain't budging down here to Nashville until tomorrow sometime.
