No, apple corporate as an engineer while in school. Since transferred schools for a masters and now over at Nvidia. Never worked Apple retail, doesn't really relate to working for Apple, mainly just working a retail job.

So... the graphics for the next MBP are probably Nvidia?

did you confirm this? replacements usually continue with the original warranty

When the guy brought out the new laptop I asked him about the warranty and he said its another year since its a different laptop.

Well I brought it back again because it was beeping at me again and it was ONLY comming out of the right speaker (It usually is both) and the screen was flashing again and it amused the apple store people LOL


They gave me a new one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a 2.53 i5 and they have me a 2.4 quad core i7 with 750GB and a radeon 6770 graphics card DDDD

Im so freaking happy that they gave me a new one :')

If you got a new Macbook Pro, congrats!!! ( does the warranty start from day 1 again or do you have to purchase an extension?)

It starts from day one since its a new one.

I wish my laptop broke again 4 days later so I can get the new updated macbooko pros!!! :/

I have had the same luck with my previous 2010 MBP 13" core 2 duo. Had problems with the screen, keyboard, trackpad coming loose, and loads of other things.

Eventually they replaced it with a 2011 core i5 2.3 , though I had gone in about 10 times for repairs, to be fair I didn't ask for a replacement before.

Congrats on the replacement, thats a sick deal. Maybe they are feeling super generous now since they are getting the refresh soon. Wishful thinking
