It's coming later in the day at 2PM PST. Several folks mentioned that was what they were told by Apple CS reps.

Apple is staggering the updates today. iOS 8.4 first, then OS X 10.10.4 a bit later, Safari 9 Seed 1, and soon iTunes. Good chance iOS 9 and 10.11 seeds might be out later as well.

Ok, 10pm UK then.

I cannot seem to start a radio station - receive an error "unable to start station ... Try again later." Has anyone been able to resolve this issue?

I've got a 64GB iPhone and never felt like I had a problem keeping what I want on my iPhone. On occasion there is a song I'd like to hear I haven't synced to my iPhone and I'm not home and it is from a CD and not iTunes so I can't cloud download it. And while the $25 / year cost for Match was never the obstacle, it was the worry that the Match process would potentially screw up my library, tagging, album art - all the little things that you care about in your collection. Added to which, I have an iMac with an external library, a Time Machine backup, a second backup, and all the space I need to house a 1.6TB library - 55GB of music (9K songs), 1.2TB of movies, 30GB of Apps, 30GB of Audiobooks. I think Match is much better suited to laptop owners.

Match has its problems, but they are not any of those you identified. In fact, Match can be frustrating because even if you have crappy meta data, it doesn't fix it and you can't get it to correct your data. For me (and it sounds like you) that isn't a problem because I am quite fastidious about my tags and artwork.

Where Match is irritating is when it matches an album except for one track (often a popular track). Or, when it matches to a clean version when you have the explicit version or vice versa. There is no way to correct bad matches. Again for me it is not a big deal because my main library is all lossless, and if Match can't match a track it uploads it and converts to an ACC 256k which is the same as the matched tracks (but leaves your original untouched). If you have lower bit rate songs though it can leave you with 10 tracks of AAC 246k and 1 track MP3 160K. In real world probably not a big deal.

I do have to say that despite its shortcomings, Match is awesome. Especially for me because I have multiple machines and devices and all my music is available on all devices without having to worry about capacity and syncing. So, you might want to reconsider.

this is really super confusing. I tested the 'download' apple music with iOS and now a track shows up in itunes on os x but I can't play it...

iOS and osx updates at the same time and iOS gets all the attention :(

I know it just launched but color me unimpressed. The "For You" section that supposedly finds music I would like is entirely too general to be of use. Selecting Oldies doesn't have artists from the 30s and 40s. There is no selection for World music.

The Beats One radio station is not my cup of tea.

The Connect section that lets you find what your favorite artists are up to only found one artist I like. Hopefully that will change with time.

Anyone else missing the "For you" tab? I just see the music i bought over the years. And some radio stations. That's it.

Yep; the Music app finally feels optimized again for the first time since iOS 6. :D Admittedly, though, I'd like a way to get rid of the "Recently Added" section from the top.
Yeah, but scrolling is so bad on the ipad 3 that it gives me a headache.

Looks like this is linking to the new iTunes for Windows (from what I can tell... it has the new logo)

http://www.apple.com/itunes/affiliates/download/

Edit: Just checked. Still downloading 12.1.2 despite the updated page. :-(

Side note... I can only imagine how much people are going to complain about this logo:

I couldn't start the Apple Music trial for some reason so I had a family member try to start it on his iPhone. Good news? It's now working on my iPhone. Bad news? He's the one that gets to manage the Apple Music subscription for the entire family with his account. Don't really want him managing the subscription for the family so I guess I'll have to wait until the 3-month trial ends to see if I can purchase Apple Music for the family using my account.

I assume the Beats 1 radio station is only available with the subscription plan and not free like the current iTunes radio offering?

Will the current iTunes radio continue?

I am not interested in the Connect or a $10-15 per month streaming service - I buy - but I would like the Beats 1 station, though I can't justify the $10 cost for just the radio aspect. I've never paid for Sirius XM or any similar satellite radio or a premium based Pandora or Spotify.

You should read, not assume.

Beats 1 is broadcast in over 100 countries and free to listen to without an Apple Music subscription, accompanied by several iTunes Radio-inspired curated radio stations with unlimited skips.

Was using Apple Music all day until it wouldn't let me play a certain song and kept showing me this. Anyone else having this issue after the fact?

P.s. When I tap Join Apple Music, it takes me to the sign up page. The same page I had been on earlier today when I first finished the update and agreed to sign up for the $14.99/mo family plan after the trial period. When I tap Cancel, I'm able to go play other music that I had previously streamed, but not the song that started this whole thing.

Defaults to following all artists??? I unfollowed all by walking down the artist list, iPad still said I was following 10. So I followed 3 to see if that number would update. It didn't. Updated my 5s, it says following 19, but only shows the 3 I selected.

Yet more of Apple going down hill, or more accurately Apple staying down at the bottom of the hill when it comes to anything online service related.

Apple music is great as long as you have an iPhone6.
With an iPhone5s or older you are seriously missing features!
No "new" or "for you" button.
How am I supposed to explore new music without these standard features?

If you've previously subscribed to iTunes Match will it just use that matched music without the need to rescan?

I have a 5 and have both of those buttons.
