I just upgraded to the 5 from 4s. And the main reason I did so, was to take advantage of LTE, since 3G is terrible most of the time. Between LTE and wifi, I am doing well now.

Getting Stellar battery life on iPhone 5 on iOS 7!

I don't know how you're getting this great battery life. Since installing iOS 7 on my 4S I've had absolutely terrible battery life.

Wow, you turned off two whole apps (weather and stocks) and now the battery life rivals IOS 6. I am running IOS 7 too.

I had trouble with battery life after the initial install, but after a settings and network reset, I have no trouble at all. I might actually be getting better battery life than iOS 6. Either way, its not different enough that it's noticeable.

Haven't encountered crashing / major glitches myself. No battery drain - of course, I've set up the device as a brand new one (no backup restoration).

If you do a clean install of iOS 7, it shouldn't matter whether or not you did a clean install of iOS 6.
Yup - just received a new iPhone 5 from Apple after my old one's battery getting dead with 6.1.4 on it with completely new, non-activated 6.1.4. The first thing I did was installing 7b1 on it.

Ok so I'm gonna go back to ios6 clean install and then go to iOS 7 clean install we shall see

Try doing a restore to iOS 7, instead of updating to iOS 7. Might make a difference for you.

Oh no, I mean in regards to how the App Store automatically updates your apps. I turned off auto updates in settings and I think it helped my battery life.

I was going to make a post on this as well. My battery life on 6.1.2 Jailbroken was just horrendous. I would charge overnight, wake at 6-8am and phone would be at 20% by noon-1pm at the latest.
Since 7, I've been reaching nearly 8-9pm before I hit 20%, incredible news for a beta!
I had one time where the phone did the normal beta run hot and drain fast, but I did a few hard resets and charged and haven't had an issue since.

I also had 6.1.2 with JB with several hacks (all purchased) like Call / Audio Recorder (my version without the warning). No excess battery usage.
That is, you've installed the wrong tweaks.
I had quick reply and springtomize 2..... Doubt they drained the charge that much 🙄
I too use Springtomize 2 on my iPad 3. No excess CPU usage.
Did you try finding out the culprit with top -u?
Nope. I just dealt with it, never really bothered me too much. Figured I just got a crappy battery.
