Why did that one go for 510? I've been keeping my eye on them and they usually sell for about 400. Why did that sell for so much more? Because of the apple care?
I don't mess with Ebay. Too many fees and whatnot, craigslist is better or at least I have had a better experience with it. I put my iPhone 3G on ebay about 2 weeks before the iPhone 4 came out and I got about 5 e-mails within the first 10 mins. I pretty much had my own auction going between about 10 people buying the phone. I told someone that $200 and you can have it done deal, so they did it and we met up at a safe location and the exchange was made. I would use craigslist over ebay any day. I hear a lot of people getting scammed through Ebay because they are protecting the buyer now over the seller.
Thats not true. Buyers have feedback its very easy to see if they are trustable.
Also I think the fees incurred on a iphone would be at a maximum of $5 (pretty sure).
Also 200 is too little for an iPhone 3G don't you think?
Earlier in the year I was getting upwards of $500 for it, but I saw in my town around 30 iPhones going up for sale. Some were 3G's and a lot were 3GS's going for mid 200's. I figured I needed to get it sold before the iPhone 4 came out because then I would take a real hit. I pretty much used a phone for 2 years and resold it for the same price I bought it at so I can't complain.
About ebay, http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fees.html that's a list of their fees. Most notably, their final value fee, 9% of the ending sale price up to a max of $50. So the max fee of $5 is not true.
