If you're finding a use for all these apps - lucky you, for me (and others) they are useless and wish i could erase them.
I would prefer to have them in the app store in case i would like to use them, instead of having them pre-installed and taking space without the option to take them off.

You, my friend, speak the truth!! Those apps are nothing more than bloatware IMO. Out of all the ones you listed, the only I use on a consistent basis is iTunes. The rest are just sitting on my phone, taking up space. This is no different than buying an android phone and having a crap load of Google/Samsung/Verizon/ect apps on your phone (taking up space) that'll you'll never use. But of course you'll have those who'll overlook the problem b/c it's Apple...but then turn around and bash android for the exact same reason

In a perfect world, all phones would come with a dialer, settings app, text app and an App Store. That's it. Let us figure out the rest ;)

And this. Maybe one day :(

I'm not really getting "tired" of the iPhone as it is just a phone even though it has become the main source of many's entertainment and function. I am getting over the feeling of wanting to have the latest iPhone every year because there really isn't that much difference between the new models and the old. Further, the new models always boast faster chips that no one has really taken advantage of in the gaming world. I think consumers of apple and other companies for that matter just need another something new that we didn't know we needed. I don't know what we are looking for but it is time to take another leap forward in the sense of technology.

We went from riding horses to walking on the moon in around 50 years and we are still using the same technology that the whole space race brought us for the last nearly 75 years. Just saying.

Fairly certain that even computers from a decade or two ago were more powerful than what has been part of the space vehicles, and the tiny computers in our hands that we take for granted now are way more powerful than those. Not really sure how leaps in technology haven't been par of all of those.

I'm the biggest iPhone fan but I'm getting tired of it now, the magic doesn't quite feel it's there anymore. The 6 is so boring looking and the same lame lcd screen that's been on there for years. I really want to get the galaxy s6 edge (s7 too big for my taste) I think it looks pretty cool how it seems dark blue, amoled screen and I can use it in the Gear VR. I would never leave iPhone, this would just be a second phone. I don't really like android os though.
I feel you. Borrow and Android phone from a friend for a couple of days, see how you like it. Android phones are not for everyone

I miss and don't miss my iPhone. There are pros and cons to both phones. However, with all this recent Apple/FBI nonsense, I feel compelled to support Apple again just because they're being so awesome and standing up to the idiots that want to circumvent our security. Just good lord they're expensive.

I think the issue might be looking to a smartphone to cure boredom.

All smartphones are boring. What's not boring is when they make other non-boring things more fun. For example, hiking a mountain isn't boring. Hiking a mountain while taking pictures and tracking the elevation with an app is also not boring, and the iPhone does both those things without complication or complexity.

Exactly. I don't know what could make a screen more exciting.

Maybe instead of a flat rectangular bit of glass, they could make it a pink fluffy thing?

But seriously, I don't really see the point of the curved screen on the Galaxy. When would it really be useful?

For all those occasions where you could have the phone in front of you, but for some reason couldn't have the front screen facing you. i.e. virtually never for most people.

It's not particularly useful, but it does look very cool. The side-screen notifications are pretty sweet, though.

im giving a samsung galaxy s7 a try, so far so good. i wish apple would squeeze a 3000mah battery in iphone 6s and made a little thicker instead of being obsessed with making thin phones. imho, 6s with 3000mah battery, or anything close to that, would have been an ultimate phone

As much as I dislike Samsung, I have to admit the GS7 is an all around good phone. Samsung listened to their customer's complaints from the S6 and made the phone easier to hold with the curved back, added a Micro SD card slot, made it water and dust resistant, made the device thicker(!), and put a larger battery in the phone(!!). There isn't a lot to hate with the phone since Samsung added virtually everything that the consumer wanted and still maintained a good phone. I sincerely hope Apple comes out with a killer iPhone 7 this year and listens to at least some of our wishes. If they don't listen to a little bit of what the consumer wants, it will be tough to keep some people as loyal customers.

That is one of the reasons i started to get annoyed with Apple, The iPhone would have insane battery life if they made it a bit thicker but Apples obsession with thinner is better is ridiculous. They have applied the same logic to all their products lately. I want old Apple back, when they used to innovate and come up with great ideas, now the only idea they have is "lets make it thinner".....

Something I'll be doing if the iPhone 7 doesn't bring something to the table of my wants and needs.

I don't feel locked into any Eco System so it'll be an interesting time.

I used to switch back and forth between the ecosystems so straddling the line between iOS and Android isn't too hard for me. I will say that I enjoy the Apple ecosystem more than the Google/Android ecosystem because everything works together so much better. I will be buying the iPhone 7 over everything else because of the integration it provides with all of my content, devices, and services I use that Apple provides. That's not to say that others don't make great devices, because I love the Nexus line, but they just don't provide the reliability, consistency, and integration that my Apple products provide. I've tried to get Android to integrate into my workflow before, and it takes a bit of work but it still doesn't integrate quite like my iPhone does.

In part I agree.

I can't comment on using a phone for business usage as I've never have.

People sometimes get into a mind set too.

I remember the frustration I felt when moving from Windows to OS X but in time I adjusted.

Android and iOS both have there Pro's and Con's ;)

That's all you think they (Apple) do is make phones thinner? Maybe that's what people want? I get a day out of my 6s, so I'm happy, my 5s didn't last a day.

Goofiest post ever...

Bored? Honestly, I get bored of all phones (and tech devices in general, once the initial honeymoon phase wears off). It's the software that keeps me around. I stick with iPhone because of the apps - still beats the android app store - and that's where they money is for me. Many of my favourite games are iOS exclusive, and since i have a mac, Handoff is a feature I use daily. Not committed to the hardware too much - don't care. As long as the camera isn't horrible, it's good enough for me, and as for how the phone looks... most flagships look decent nowadays.

I used to oscillate between android devices and iPhone... both have their pros and cons, and I don't think my world would stop turning if I was forced to give up my iPhone 7 in favour of the newest Samsung flagship, either. Would it be more exciting, though? No, doubt it.

I went through the same phase you are going through now. I bought the Galaxy note 7 & returned it the same day!!! Seeing android and how it works, all of the windows type pop ups and warnings, made me quickly realize that the iPhone is the best ever. iPhone is so much more simplified and you will quickly "want" to return to the iPhone like I did.

I was in the same boat. I had the 5S and 6. I got rid of my 6 about 7 months ago and got the S7 Edge. My iPhone 7 Plus will be here tomorrow. iOS is boring but it just works. You can do so much with Android but alot of things need to be fixed. I just recently was able to get my S7E to give me 7 hours of SOT. I can honestly say most of the time I had the S7 was tweaking it to give me good battery. I'm neutral when it comes to iOS and Android. Just ready to go back to iOS.
