GG is plain and simple a fixed-Tahoe = a properly working OS.

Hey, there.
Probably raining on wet grounds here, but Golden Gate beta1 is so damn stable and fast. Even as first beta it feels like a proper version of MacOS Tahoe. Especially because all the Liquid Glass issues are very subtle under GG. It still feels like Tahoe's interface everywhere, despite some small corners and smaller details that have been pointed out already. I'm currently running beta1 on my main working machine, a M4 Mac Studio, and I'm never going back to Tahoe, ever again, no matter the bugs I might encounter on the way. And of course there are some already. Why does Apple do this to us? I remember the Lion days, it was such a crappy piece of OS, every once and then we have to wait a full year/cycle to get a fixed MacOS. The Contacts app under GG is still a clusterfu**ed bomb, by the way.

Nothing major or disruptive. Much on the contrary. So far I've been only facing some delays while typing. I have to go back and fix the word. I'm a fast typist and the occasional delay is real, but so far does not bother me yet. Sometimes I feel some input lag on keyboard commands as well. Every single app I use is working flawlessly: the full Adobe package, MS Office, all of those IA desktop apps, Google Drive, Dropbox, Onedrive.

There's nothing worse than Tahoe, by the way. If things keep going smoothly as it is, I'll install GG on my MacbookAir as well.

I noticed the odd typing delays on my MacBook Pro. Nothing major but it throws off my rhythm.

Running on a M4 Max Mac Studio w/ 48GB RAM, totally overpowered, I know, but reports about GG being faster and quite stable are everywhere and under all kinds of loads and machines.
