Thanks...now I want it even MORE!
Tell the BF you want one... I suspect very few boyfriends have their 28-year-ols S.O. request a Roboraptor. ;)

Of course, it's on my Xmas list. :)

Get him a 7 year old-size guitar and lessons so he can play it. You're never too young to start training to be a rock star!
The hard part would be finding the 2-year-old groupies.

I LOVE K'NEX!I was addicted to them, until computers came into my life:cool:

Why not combine the two? :p
WoW was making my PowerBook really really hot... so...
Sorry to hijack the thread, but I would personally, probably having been 7 year-old boy more recently than most of you, would suggest something like LEGOs or an outside toy (bike, scooter, etc...)
Don't get him into technology yet. It will consume him

Good luck,
reality

I never liked Legos as a kid. I only liked K'NEX. Think Different.
I absolutely loved K'NEX. I loved playing with the gears and pulleys, K'NEX was more mechanical than legos.

2nyRiggz- Your absolutely right, I have to force these kids to go outside sometimes.

puckhead193,killuminati- I only watch baseball and boxing. My kids aren't really into watching sports.

Chundles- cricket, what's that.:p

jsw- Roboraptor looks cool! I just might get it.

Stampyhead- They are already into making experimental electronic music.

atszyman- Those are friggin' hot! I want them for myself!

Thanks you everyone for all the ideas. If you got anymore ideas keep them coming. I might go with The Roboraptor, Star Wars Lego set, or K'nex

It's a waay cooler game than baseball is what is is :p

Where else will you see a game where the bowler is applauded for nearly removing the batsman's head from his shoulders?

As you may or probably may not be able to tell, I was a fast bowler (quickest in my competition) before I got sick and used to gain a lot of pleasure from terrorising the opposing batsmen. I once overheard an opposing opening batsman, as we were all walking out to start a game, remark that in his haste to get to the ground he had forgotten to change from boxers to briefs and as such wasn't wearing his protective "box" so during my first over (that's six deliveries in a row, after which the other opening bowler bowls from the other end of the pitch) I managed to not only hit this batsman square, and at full pace (120kmh or thereabouts ~75mph, the top two quicks in the world can hit around 100mph) in his unprotected nether regions, causing him to collapse and cry and dry retch for about 15 minutes. He eventually regained his composure and continued to bat, only to be hit in the head from my next delivery which passed between the protective face grill and the peak on his helmet and split him open below the eye so he had to go off and go to the hospital.

Neither ball was illegal and we won by a lot that day.

See, get him some cricket gear, you can play it on just a regular driveway and if somebody had clearly won the game at the end of the day on the driveway, declare that the game is a test match, not a one-dayer and come back for 4 more days of competition, after which there still is no guarantee of a winner.

Get him a bat and a ball and some gloves and pads and some cracking stories to tell his kids when they get older and wonder what the funny flat bat Daddy has is.

Trust me, you can't go wrong. :D :p :p

I don't get how hitting a guy in the sack couldn't be illegal. Illegal or not that's just wrong. :D

His own bloody fault for not wearing a box. The ball just bounced right and smack!! Down he went.

Roboraptor is cool, Roboraptor mini is also cool and comes in a much smaller box.

I know if i was a kid and got tickets as a present i wouldn't be too happy. at least if I was 7.

Remote control car? I used to love mine. It might even get him away from video games for a while.

I got my son a Roboraptor, because he is a maniac for dinosaurs and robots. He loves it (me, too;) ). If you have a BJ's Warehouse nearby, they have a package with the big one and the small one for $99. Wish I'd seen it before I bought mine. [They also have the Robopet and mini robopet package, I think for $79. Roboraptor seems way cooler, though.]

Warning about Roboraptor: Works great on hardwood/tile floors, but not so great on carpeting.

Oh I remember my remote control car. Mine always ran out of battery after like 10 minutes though.
