Boys what about the problem that someone else in this forum reported of disconnection from internet? Anyone suffering it?

I have downloaded the delta update but for the moment is still in the download folder as I am scared of potential problem with internet

Now that I see your question, I wonder about what happened to me this morning. Woke up my Macbook Pro 15 2011 early, running 10.8.3. In Safari, I got an error of not being connected to the internet. I fixed this by unplugging and plugging in the Ethernet cable.

I do not remember this happening before....

sounds like all you has to do was renew your IP address....pretty easy to do....

10.8.3 had some meaningful benefits for my slightly older machine. The newer graphic drivers have improved performance in games. Not dramatically, but definitely noticeable. The best change is the inclusion of Boot Camp 5.0 for 2011 machines. The support software that comes with it finally installs the chipset drivers in AHCI, rather than legacy/IDE mode. Now I no longer have to patch the Master Boot Record to enable it, which then makes my MBP no longer able to sleep or access the Boot Camp control panel.

Props to you, Cupertino.

Maybe try repairing permissions using Disk Utility. If that fails perhaps a fresh install will do the trick.

I don't have access to my MBP right now, but I can confirm that Dropbox does not trigger the discrete chip in 10.8.3 on my machine. In fact the only way I triggered it was by launching Photobooth.

Do you have a 15" or 17" 2010 MBP?
It's a 15. 2.53GHz Core i5.

Installed fresh OS X 10.8.2 on new partiton and updated to 10.8.3. No difference.

I should mention that I'm using the previous version of Dropbox which does not trigger the dGPU on 10.8.3.

I'm not sure what else you could try to fix this, sorry.

WHY would DropBox need to use the discrete GPU? To show the tiny blue icon animations? Wow.

My early 2013 rMBP 15" is running a LOT smoother.

I officially have no issues with the UI performance on this machine now.

Why would logic need it? sloppy programming
Why does illustrator NOT need it? good programming

Anyway, Dropbox 2.0 doesn't require dGPU

10.8.3 is AWESOME.

I get insane battery life just surfing the net (8 hours!), BT & WiFi enabled, iGPU.

its also as cold as MBP never was in history!

no more artefacts and crap like that... 10.8.3 is a great update.

I ****ed up the "app store update" and had to install over the original installation to 10.8 (download 10.8.2 recovery would take 7 hours, so i used a disk), and combo updated to 10.8.3.

Good job on making it run like its suppose to.

Yes. Yes. so does mine, 2012.

Anyone else play Borderlands 2 through Steam?

I have almost 36 hours logged running it on 10.8.2, not a single crash.

Since 10.8.3 has been installed, randomly sometimes as I am entering a new level, the game will straight up crash back to desktop with the usually suspects error message.

I can't tell if this is 10.8.3 doing this or not.. I'm suspect because like I typed, I have just about 36 hours logged under 10.8.2 and no issue at all.

Scrolling performance on my rMBP in Safari is MUCH better. The latest webkit nightly build is still a bit smoother, but Safari is much improved over the previous version.
