Not a huge Giz reader but I'm turning on Apple too. Was a huge fan since '87 but a lot of their newer products & practices can be hugely criticized.

Yeah dude, get used to the idea of non user serviceable batteries. The writing was on the wall years ago. Fifteen years from now, you're going to be telling stories about the day when you could do this and the kids you're telling it to are going to think of the idea as rather quaint.

Sounds like you don't use your phone enough for their battery covers to fall off.

By the way, most of the new phones emulate Apple in having a larger battery instead of a tiny, removable battery.

Expecting maturity from a tech professional is pretty funny. Steve Jobs is one the most powerful men in the industry right now and look at the state of him.

Just read a site you feel comfortable with and move on.

gizmodo claims to be journalists. which if they want any credibility in that field at all, maturity is certainly needed. humor and jesting is one thing, but to act like spoiled little brats is another. case in point, look at how Ars handles things in comparison to Giz.

Steve Jobs is a tech professional first and foremost and he is the head of a major company that makes billions. he sometimes acts like a spoiled little brat.

I felt hurt at Gizmodo. They might be immature, but it's obvious that Apple could handle the situation better too.

One is immature, the other one is an immature bully.

Also, the general tone on Macrumors is changing and there is growing concern about Apple's practices, so I suppose, there must be some justification at least to a certain extent to Gizmodo's issues.

immature bully? i donno, i've had things stolen from me before, and i'd say that Apple has been pretty clam about things so far, and reasonable.

It's the products that count. Apple's case against Gizmodo has nothing to do with how well Joe or Sally's iPad works, or the new iPhone.

Like the fate of a lousy tech blog on the ass-end of the net will really concern anyone at all.

Screw Gizmodo. I hope they eventually throw Brian Lam and Jason Chen into a freakin' Russian gulag.

They didn't think there'd be any consequences because of the TV be-gone thing at CES, that thing with Halo 3 they did, but they messed with the wrong people this time, and they have no excuse.

Their situation is comparable to a murderer being pissed off and pouting about receiving the death sentence.
