Just the fact that Lion comes defaulted to two finger swipes and the only program that can use that is Safari tells you how either (1) rushed it was or (2) how completely stupid the designers are. "Hey yeah, let's default it to a mode that breaks page switching in Chrome, iTunes, Finder etc." Brilliant. And don't get me started on how completely screwed up and unintuitive Spaces is now. It's sad that it doesn't surprise me that Mossberg reviewed this crap highly.

Things I agree with:
• I liked Exposé and Spaces more than Mission Control (though I'm slowly getting used to it).
• The inconsistency of gestures between apps. Why does two finger swipe to go forward and backward only work in Safari and not in anything else including Finder, App Store, iTunes Store, etc.? It makes no sense to me.
• I liked the old look of iCal but this isn't a big deal and I can live with it.

Everything else in Lion I'm happy with.

Lion is designed to get iPad users to by a Mac

I think Snow Leopard was the best. I love pages and expose. Mission Control is a awful mess. Apps that you want on all desktop don't work including FaceTime. I want a couple of chat window and face time open on every Mission control desktop. That feature is not working. I can't tell what apps are in those tiny desktops. You all will find out once you are over 45 and need glasses t read you monitor. If I had a iPad or a 11 inch Air I would want full screen apps. But on a desktop I want my desktop to share iChat, Skype FaceTime and Eye TV with the main app I am using. I used to use 2 monitors but I understand that Lion does not do well with that. Oh well. I guess I only need one of those new Thunderbolt monitors, not two. I have turned in2 tickets with Apple on security issues. My external dvd/cd player no longer works. I am putting off my next Mac purchase and will get a iPad instead. Since I don't want a maxed out Mac to be a large iPad, it will be much less expensive that way.

Bad review, not worth too much thoughts to be put into it. His opinion about people not using calendars and address books out of paper anymore made my day. Makes me wonder about the age of the reviewer. Not a single word about FileVault 2, nor ASLR and how seamless it is integrated into Lion.

Haters gonna hate. Lion has a great new UI a brings a lot of upgrades

How is this vista equivalent? Talk about over use of a buzz word.

I have absolutely no issues with Lion so far. Optimizations would be welcomed in future releases, but it's nothing to bash the OS over.

Their negative review is just more fodder for haters "look what gizmodo said about it"

I agree with him and I think that this is one of the few unbiased Lion reviews.
