I installed my BSE glossy yesterday, looks good but I am having trouble getting the corners to stick. Any advice? Its been 24 hours and they keep coming undone.

What streaks are you referring to? Here are a few pics after letting it settle down overnight. The last remnants of bubbles have all but disappeared. There are some minor imperfections but I'm totally fine with it. I have an extra set that I can use in the future.

How did you get the corners to stay down? Mine keep poping up and I let it dry overnight already.

Received my 7+ Jet Black on Wednesday and got the SW naked today, Friday. After watching the tutorial from the company a few times I kinda got the jidst of it. Things they don't tell you, you NEED a credit card and heat gun. The black bottle doesn't come with a sprayer, and had no patience to keep pumping the hose of the bottle, so I broke it open. A small spray bottle would have been nice.

I ended up getting the bottom first, and then camera, but it keept bubbling around the camera so I added more water. I didn't feel like waiting the 20 minutes or 24 hours before doing the edges, so I ended up doing them and throwing the heat gun on it to finish it off. It ended up looking really good, with bubbles of course, so I will wait the weekend (as I have no rush) and hopefully the bubbles with go away and will look good. The buttons are hard to get perfectly, will know for next time.

Question whether I should let phone dry in the box, or outside where there is dust...

So it has been 15 hours, and I checked on it. A few bubbles here and there, not a big deal, but will let it sit more. If they don't do away, should I add heat? Or make a pinhole? Or accept that is the way it will be?

Hey guys, best way to apply these skins is in the bathroom while running a hot shower. The steam will keep the dust at bay and you get a near flawless install every time.

I had a professional tint guy install mine since the first time it did not go as planned. It's good, but not perfect. The edges are impossible, as well as making sure all of the dots line up around the speaker.

Hello All,

I just recently got my hands on the 7+ Jet Black after almost 2-month waiting period. Regardless, I have already purchased this glossy back skin from BSE. However, I was reading that when you remove the skin, the lettering/fonts on the back of the jet black iPhone seems to fade/disappear. The claims weren't specifically for BSE, but all types of skins.

HAS ANYONE TRIED TO REMOVE THEIR SKIN AT ALL? Are these claims valid?

As much as I love to protect my shiny JB, I don't want these fonts to fade when I decide to remove the skin couple months down the road.

Please Help! :)

Thanks in advance.

Can confirm, just removed a SW naked skin from my phone and it faded the lettering. It's still there and legible, just not as defined as before.

I'm the one that made the YouTube video that sparked the story. SlickWraps faded the lettering on my JB 7+, BSE did the same on my friends. I have a feeling if you took anything sticky such as tape you would pull off some of the lettering fading it a bit. Do it repeatedly and you might be able to remove the lettering completely.

Thank you. Think I will leave the BSE off

100% confirmed mine faded too

Mine was not BSE, just some cheap-o from Amazon. I did see the print on the backside of the wrap when I removed it, but no noticeable difference on the back of the phone... I agree that done enough times, you could probably remove it completely.

I don't see the big deal in regards to the lettering being removed at all. How could this possibly affect phone performance let alone resell value??

i guess anything that is "modified" be it cosmetic or not will determine the value

So iPhone lettering that is no longer as prominrnt in your opinion will affect a re-sale? I certainly don't agree in this instance. If scratches don't lower prices all that much, an iPhone who has had it's lettering less intensified won't matter at all.

everything matters when you're trying to sell it off. people will point out any tiny details just to get a "discount". fact so just face it mate.

LOL...Since I have always sold my 2 year old iPhone for MAX profit with or without cosmetic issues, I completley know and understand that the lettering issue will not affect a re-sell at all. And that's fact.
