GM build for paid developers?

It's out thank goodness, I do feel quite stupid but what exactly does GM mean?

The stupid download won't start :/
 
If you install the 3.0 GM version, I assume you'll be able to update to the 3.0 final version once that's available?

I guess what I'm asking is: if you're already a paid developer, is there any advantage to not installing the 3.0 GM?
 
Gold master means it's the final release.

GM is the final version, devs are getting it now so they can test their apps before its released to the general public.
 
Note that the download says that this is a pre-release and Scott Forstall called it a 'Gold Master Candidate'

This may or may not be the final build.
 
I keep getting the same error Spaz. Looks like the waiting game for us to be able to access the server has begun.
 
In the download section of the iPhone Developer Center, there are several 3.0 GM downloads. Which do I download? I have a first generation iPod Touch, and I keep trying the 1st gen link and its not working, but will this one work with Leopard? Above there are special Leopard and Snow Leopard builds for the iPhone, so Im a little confused. Anyway I cant get the downloads to work haha.
