You guys do make a good point about iOS 5, because the iphone 4 will also get it it will still be a updated/current phone.
But it will probably not be considered for the next version of the iOS but that might also take some time to happen.

Now other question that doesnt completely relate to the thread, but for the ones who have used a 4" screen to type and the used the 3.5" of the iphone, did you noticed a big difference? I have seen some videos comparing screen and it seems that the 4" is more "taller" than wider comparing to the iphone.

I bet it will

If 3GS works with ios 5 then I'm damn sure that the iphone 4 will work with the next IOS update

dare accepted! lol
now seriously, i feel stupid if i get it now but its because my carrier will give it for free but when the new ones come i would most likely had to get them at the regular price.
Also, im going to insist with the screen question : is 0.5" ( from the iphone to the lg optimus black) very noticeable, especially when it comes to text? The reason im asking is because i have a 3.2 touchscreen and i hate to type on it

Your carrier will give it for free? Seriously?

My wife is dying for a new phone and, like me, is waiting for the 5. However, I'm sure she'd go for a 4 if it were cheap enough. She mostly wants productivity apps rather than games so I doubt she'd notice much difference in speed.

If the price difference between a 4 today and a 5 next month was $50 she'd probably wait but if it was $150 or more I bet she'd pull the trigger.

Thoughts?

I can get the for free indeed but i still have a contract, so i have to stay on the carrier for the indicated times but i can keep my current plan. ( Its a different carrier than for example in the US so it works a little different, but essentially thats it).

In terms of prices i think the 5 will be the same price as the 4 and the 4S the same as the 3gs

Other question i have about the iOS is about bluetooth. Since the begning apple has put limitation on BT and doesnt allow file transfer out of the box. However from what i have read ( but i had read some months back so excuse me if my memory fails) but all you have to do is get an app that will do that/add that options, but the phone would need to be JB.
Is that still the way to get it done?
Also other things, im used to on my android to have a wifi/gps and BT toggle/button that is very helful. Does the iOS, or even the new iOS 5, bring that? that is really helpful. But i have seen an app that makes it but if it comes from factory even better,
