stupid thing to do.

How/why? Cause you can't apply simple logic and figure it out?

It's faster for me to go > than -> .. also things in this world have multiple meanings and it's up to the reader to read things in perspective of the author. That's why books are amazing.

I disagree with the screen clarity. 1080 P versus 740 P was significantly different. And I own both models in comparison. The 7 Plus has a stronger contrast in colors and appears more vivid.
Although I think Apple are being cheap for not putting the better screen in both, the difference when using them is minimal in my personal experience. I'm sure people like yourself spot a vast difference but I struggle to see it.

When you compare the smaller variant with the larger variant iPhone, you'll see the vivids of the whites are brighter and the colors are more saturated. And I'm not entirely sure if Apple could import a 1080 P screen on a 4.7 inch iPhone. Perhaps they could, but I don't know if they chose to put the better screen on the larger Variant as another selling point for the larger model or if there was some restriction with a smaller screen size.

My opinion is 4.7" is perfect phone size. I mean phone. Mostly people use cell phone as on little computer for gaming and for them is better Plus version. But for phones 4.7" PERFECT. Size of phone in hand and when you hold near ear, everything, 4.7' is best.

@Relentless Power this is shame on apple, infact they can import a 1080p display in smaller display ,but they will not to keep their profit margins high, forcing customers to buy their high end expensive overpriced products

Yeah that's not a massive difference to me in all honesty.

I think they could have developed a 1080p screen for the normal version, but chose not to in typical Apple style because they know they can market it for the larger device. In this day and age I think that's outdated, especially when rivals are offering so much more in terms of hardware. They don't seem to realise the biggest factor between the two is their size and this is what draws people. I would never buy the bigger phone regardless of what features they market as better. It's too big.

I think if the rumors are true, then developing a 5 inch iPhone with premium features that are implemented from the 5.5 inch iPhone will draw a larger crowd. Like you said, most don't want a 5.5 inch iPhone as it's too large for them.

Indeed, I think we've learned over the past year that even the old 4" size is popular. My wife couldn't wait to get rid of her iPhone 6 and get the SE. A few of the women I work with have the SE too and I'm seeing quite a few in the wild. The 4.7" hits the sweet spot for me but even that feels too big in some of the jeans I wear and goes in my back pocket. I just wouldn't entertain a phone any bigger.

Apple don't seem to pay much attention to this sort of preference though. Don't get me wrong I love iOS and wouldn't switch back to android, but it does irk me when Apple deliberately hold back on features that are already used by their competitors. I know they have a strong market influence and need to ensure future sales, but it's frustrating for consumers.

I would have to agree with that. Mainly, it seems like Apple haz some of the best marketing in the world, let alone in the technology business. But they always seem to be one step behind or lagging in introducing features that other competitors have released. That said, I hope Apple really does something innovative with this next iPhone release in September 2017.

The 4.7 inch iPhone is an excellent size and serves most. I Previously owned the iPhone SE and it was a great iPhone, but the screen size was somewhat too small for me. The 4.7 inch iPhone was just right and the plus offers the larger screen/battery for the big difference. Portability wise, the iPhone 4.7 inch wins hands-down.

I think the pixel is the same way concerning the screen differences between the two sizes. So they either have the same marketing logic as Apple or its true that the smaller screen can't take the increased pixel density. I can't tell the diff between the two sizes on the iPhone or pixel. Maybe I'm not that picky to nitpick the two screens apart. Pixel same/same can't see any diff there either.

I've owned a 6 Plus for the past 2 years and now I want to go for the smaller phone.Has anyone made this jump? I'm curios how much worse the batter is between these two.
I've stopped using my phone so much in the last months and I wonder if it can get to to the end of the day with moderate usage. (1h of music, Reddit, some texting, Twitter, browsing and a few videos on YouTube).

I've went from a 6 plus to a 7 and I don't notice a huge difference in actual use besides it being smaller. The screen resolution is different but I can't tell the difference unless I stare at both phones at the same time.

I previously had 6/6s plus models and upgraded to a regular 7. Not only do i miss the size of the screen on the plus models as compared to the much smaller regular 7 screen size. But i also greatly miss the increased battery life of the plus. It really does depend on the amount usage you give your phone though.

Battery life for me is about the same. I actually getting better I think.

Another one.. wow read the thread
It's an easy thing to misunderstand especially if you are into math. Next time, try using '-' instead. Like 6 - 6s - 7s... It is easy to type and can be substitute for the word to. No need to get frustrated or feel like others are stupid, everyone think differently and we all come from different backgrounds.... now to the real matter.

I do like a bigger screen that's why I really want my ideal setup to come true:

iPad mini for reading and everything else. Apple Watch to be able to connect with the iPad mini and answer phone calls and writes messages. iPad Pro for light computer tasks and perhaps an iMac at home to run adobe creative suites. My ideal setup would eliminate the iPhone 100%. I thinkI'll really enjoy this setup I doubt Apple will go this direction though......

So now, my setup will consist of the iPhone 6s Plus, iPad Pro and the Apple Watch. However, I would love to swap out the iPhone with the iPad mini. I feel like for the watch to be able to make phone calls independently is so crucial and can streamline my entire operation.

To be fair, seeing something like "6 - 6s - 7s..." wouldn't be all that clear as to what that is trying to get across either.

6+ > 6S plus > 6S > 7

now back on the 7 plus. i don't want a small phone anymore.

Am I the only one that got this without a second's thought? OK, I am a C# programmer (have been programming for 15 years+)... but still. lol All this ruckus about that? Really?

I know this - if I had an iPad still, I could probably deal with a non + iPhone, but because I don't have an iPad, a + is a must.

Don't forget the iPhone 7 Plus display is not best in class

Why would I need to be reminded of what the best display is? According to who? And displays are measured in multiple facets. My guess is you have no idea what the best display is on the current market and why. What makes the best phone display? Color gamut/clarity, saturation, pixel density?

So, then explain to me what makes other displays superior to the iPhones? OLED? Which burns hot, has burn in rate and will have manage battery less effectively. (Which OLED has advantages) So what else are you comparing the iPhone screen to? Can you explain?

Knowingly you will likely not respond with any specifics regarding your quote, as You seem to be reminding of something you likely don't have an understanding of something you quoted me on to begin with.

There is no time limit on replying to "Old posts" on this website. This thread and website for that matter, is based on constructive discussion and feedback at any time.

That said, you made a quote to me by stating "Don't forget the iPhone 7 Plus is not the best display in class." I responded in kind and now I asked you multiple questions in the previous post. Part of a constructive discussion is answering the questions, so; please answer the questions I asked you without deflecting or refuting away from the topic, in order to continue the discussion.

Also, I have by no means "Bashed" you. You're using this word completely out of context and misappropriating the definition of bashing, thus; which never occurred to begin with.
