is there anyone going from a 6s to a 5se? if so what are your reasons for doing so, I have a 6s currently I am thinking about getting a 5se, just wanted to get some thoughts ........ thanks !

I think it's all what you get used to. It took me months to get used to the 6s, and for me this size is at the limit of overall usability. The 5s seems so small but so easy to use.

Yup, I'm doing that too ! :)

I've always prefered the 4" iPhones but seeing that Apple didn't refreshed it since 2013, I thought it will be left out so I bought the 6S (standard not Plus) in October.

I'm buying the SE because I love the iPhone 5/5S design and always thought it was the best Apple ever done so I'm glad they reused the same for the SE.
Also, I'm moving from a Space Grey 6S to a Rose Gold SE which I immediatly regretted not buying this color for my 6S (I've always had black phones so it's getting a bit boring).

I'm certainly considering it - like others, the 6S is at the very top for me size-wise and I certainly wish it were smaller. I guess I should have just hung on to my 5C a bit longer than I did.

I wish they had announced the smaller form factor at the same time as the 6S release - as currently I'll be paying again just to get what I wanted in the first place.

Gonna switch to SE after 6 months of 6S+ use. All I can say is the annoyance of the form factor is growing to the point I cannot tolerate anymore when SE is announced. I am really longing for the 4-inch form factor, aka "One Finger To Rule It All". :|

Yeah but for web browsing and texting etc. your screen size is really just too small for that. Especially if you have large fingers and hands. I recently acquired an iPhone 5s for work and texting on it is pretty difficult because my hands are big. And taking photos and processing those photos on a smaller screen is really difficult. Im sure that you will experience the same thing. Truly a 5 inch screen is usually the best nominal size for most people. I have the 6S plus and I refuse to go any smaller.

Yes, I already added my 6S to ebay and I can't wait for 31st. The 4inch IPhone + 9.7 Inch IPad combination is the perfect one. Steve knew why and is still valid these days.

I had used 5S for more than a year and a half before I upgraded to 6S+. So I know I am fine with it. My conclusion to web surfing on phones is: whatever sites without mobile layout sucks regardless of the display size - you would have to pinch and zoom anyway. :D

Make no mistake, web browsing on a 4inch display blows. But, as some other members have found, 5.5 or 4.7 isn't much better for web browsing. If I'm looking something up on my iPhone it's in an app or in a mobile version on a site, which is fine on a 4 inch phone. Photos are nicer to look at on the plus series though. Still, if I'm reading something longer like an editorial or book, I, at least, need an iPad or notebook. One person's opinion though.

I agree. And I wonder about navigation routing with a smaller screen?

If you just want a phone to be a phone I think it is a great idea.

I could see myself with an iPhone SE in 16GB and one of the new iPad Pros in 256GB as my main mobile computing device.

Of course, they are both out of my budget. But I can dream. :)

Switching from the iPhone 6 to the SE. I really like the screen size and quality of the 6 for reading, photos, etc. But using the 4.7" is just a terrible experience for me, and after 1.5 years I hate it every day. I also drop the 6 constantly because of the build (thin, slippery). Feels good, looks good, but using it... nope.

Not liking the 1st gen Touch ID and missing barometer on the SE, but otherwise it's still a great little phone that will perform really well for quite some years to come.

I think people hanging on to their old iPhone 5 or 5s because of their size and the price would make a wise purchase if getting an SE. Those going from a 6S to an SE will be loved by Apple and their shareholders.

I think I have average sized hands and fingers. I mean, no one has ever said "OH MY GOD IT'S E.T.!" or yelled "DWARF TOSS" when I've pointed a finger at something so I am assuming that I am average hand sized. Anyway, the 6s pisses me off with the corners "just" being out of reach when I needed them most. When I reach a little bit further my wrist twists *just enough* for the screen to flip into landscape mode right when I DON'T want it. Big screen? Great. But for one hand use? BAAHHH!

Some say that the iPhone 5 was the last model that Steve Jobs had input with. If so I agree that he was right.

I am buying the SE but it's to replace my wife's iPhone 5. I am seriously considering selling my 64GB 6s with Apple Care to get one for myself as the size of the 6 model is a daily annoyance for one hand use and I can't imagine the 7 will be any improvement. All the kids out there who really want to watch their 4K video on a 4.7" screen can have at her. I want a phone that doesn't pss me off.

Nope I won't get it because it's LTE bands and LTE performance is inferior to the 6S, and compatibility with all US carriers is lower. If I really wanted the 4 inch form factor I would use my old 5S. It looks like a great phone though, if I didn't have a 6S I would want the SE. The form factor is perfect and the design is much better than the 6/6S/plus lines.

Edit: It's nice they made the chamfered edges matte so they don't scratch easily.

I thought that it got the same exact bands as the 6S or did I read that wrong ?

Thinking about it. I loved the 5S, it was probably my favorite iPhone of all time. I switched to the 6 to stay up to speed with the software, features, etc.

I love the actual design and feel of the SE much more then the 6 series. It has true 1-handed operation without any compromise, I've always been a fan of small phones because my demands on a phone aren't much. All I pretty much do is talk/text/email with listening to music and some occasional web browsing and reading articles. I don't watch videos or play games on my phone ever. It feels more like an actual phone and productivity tool. When I come home I watch movies and anything entertainment related on my Mac and PS4, where my phone just more so lays on my desk and essentially becomes well.. a phone.

Maybe if it had 3d touch but not as it is right now. Then everyone jumps ship when the 7 is announced. Pretty smart move by apple maximing profits
